Quick note: Hello! This is a game I was working on in RPG Maker XP. Since starting it, I have lost the will to create it in there, but I did finish the script. I could blame a lot of things on not being able to make it in RPG Maker XP, but it all goes down to I just lost my interest in making it into a game.

I'm never going to finish the game. I know that. I just can't make myself do it. Don't ask why, don't even try to get me to do that. It won't work. But, I know a lot of people liked it, and I wanted to tell the story, with or without the graphics to back it up. So, without further ado, I give to anyone who wants to read, the story to MV. And if you're a new person to Memento Vivere, hello!

It's a lengthy read. It's 59 pages (yes you read that right) in Microsoft Word, 12pt font in Times New Roman. I am gonna do my best to spoiler it up in chapters.

Memento Vivere

The Script

The player is met with a black screen. Music is not playing yet, and then words show up on screen. Since it is known that Spade is the narrator, I shall just put Spade-[n].

Spade-[n]: How did this all begin? What happened to us that we are now at these opposed states?

The screen fades in and you see Spade coming into a clinic room made just for Sine. He is sitting a bit distantly, staring at the floor. Spade comes in and walks up to him.

Spade: Sine, can you hear me?
Sine: …

The screen fades again.

Spade-[n]: You’re like a doll now. A broken, mismanaged doll that is just waiting to be fixed. I wish I could help you now, but I fear that my time is short.

The screen fades back in again.

Spade: Please Sine, I know you can hear me. Give me a sign that you’re all right.

A knock comes from the door. Spade jumps and looks towards it while Sine remains unmoving.

Terra: Spade, honey, we have to get moving. I believe they know we are here.
Spade: [looking back at Sine] Please, Sine… please…

The screen fades once more and for the last time.

Spade-[n]: I ask myself again, how did this all begin? When did this horrible pilgrimage turn sour? To begin to think about that, I feel we should go back to the beginning: to when we first met in the Judge Jonah’s office.

There is a pause and you hear something happening. Sine has sat down on something.

Sine: I am getting bored, can I play this while I wait?
Jonah: I don’t mind, go ahead.

Sine sits in the seat on the piano and the opening credits play. It’s a haunting tune, and if I can, I’ll get a better more piano-tune. When the credits are done playing, Sine stops.

Jonah: Oh, Sine, I think I hear her. Come here so you can make a good impression.
Sine: What, me playing a piano isn't impressionable?

The sound is heard like he is getting up and he stands next to Jonah. You hear Spade coming up the stairs. The screen fades back into the room and you see Spade in front of Jonah and Sine.

Jonah: Good morning, Spade! How are you this fine, wonderful morning?
Spade: I’m feeling fine.
Jonah: Did you have a good breakfast?
Spade: Of course, they feed us all right in the Knight Quarters.
Jonah: [glancing at Sine.] Oh, let’s cut this informality, Sine is going to start to get antsy. Ahem! Spade Alcatraz; do you understand the mission set forth for you?
Spade: Yes, sire. I am to escort this priest, Sine Bene, on his pilgrimage to save his soul from the demons.
Jonah: Exactly. Be very careful with him. He’s a very talented boy and could eventually help us all find Paradise.
Sine: Paradise, tch.
Jonah: Now, now, Sine, no need to get snappy.
Sine: I wasn’t being snappy.
Jonah: Ugh, kids. They’re so hard to deal with, you know, Spade?
Spade: Yeah, they’re so annoying!
Sine: Hey, I’m standing right here!
Jonah: In any case, Spade, you know what you have to do. Now, could you meet Sine at the entrance of Basil? He has to run a few errands before he leaves the Abbey.
Sine: Oh, yeah. I forgot about that.
Spade: Yes, sire.

The screen fades as Sine walks past Spade and towards the door.

Spade-[n]: Looking back on that now… I regret accepting the mission. Would all have been fine if I had not accepted that mission? I don’t know, it probably would have happened the same, just with another Knight. In any case, I accepted the job, not even thinking twice about those “demons”.

So the screen fades again, and the player is allowed control. The next scene begins again when you go to the entrance of Basil. Spade stands alone!

Spade: Hmm… I wonder how long this is going to take.

Sine comes out from the side of the screen in a few moments and stands in front of Spade.

Sine: Hi… again.
Spade: Oh, that’s an interesting outfit. You don’t look like a priest at all!
Sine: Cut the sarcasm. Some of the places we have to go through don’t really like us priests. In going in this, I maintain a level of secrecy.
Spade: It’s dark though, isn’t that going to get hot?
Sine: Umm… it’s coming closer to autumn. I don’t think so.
Spade: Fine. Are you ready to go?
Sine: Yes, dear.
Spade: Hold on a minute, you don’t address me as dear.
Sine: Sorry, dear. It’s a force of habit. Now, dear, can we get going? Dear?
Spade: Ooh, you’re doing that on purpose.
Sine: Hey, you caught on. Good for you.
Spade: (Lousy brat…)

So, Sine joins your part and you all merge into one being! Dun dun dun. There are other events of course, like what goes on in his room. But that doesn’t need to be written at this moment in time. It’s already done and more of a side-story than the actual one. The next event is when you get to Rook Trail.

Sine: Hey, Spade.
Spade: Hmm? What is it?
Sine: Umm… could you do me a favor? When this is all over, don’t talk to any of your Knight colleagues or even some of the Judges about the specifics of what happens.
Spade: You couldn’t tell me in town?
Sine: Are you kidding? They watch me like a hawk in there. If I do one thing out of line, I’m usually shut up for weeks.
Spade: Oh, it’s happened before?
Sine: Once. It was kinda funny, actually. I was showing the kids how to make fire grow from some matches, right? And I kinda caught a bush on fire. Someone claimed some prophecy and the town was in an uproar. I had to stay in the Abbey for a while before they all calmed down.
Spade: Hehe, did this happen before I came to Basil?
Sine: Probably. You should have seen it. It was great.

Silence ensues and Sine clears his throat.

Sine: Ahem, let’s get going.
Spade: Right, right.

They regroup and the player can take control again. This is the end of this chapter. The next one is when they reach the mayor’s house in the Port Town of Rook.

This chapter starts when you go to the Captain Eilei’s house. There the party meets the highly vocal Eve. She is of course supposed to be like Lilith: she is independent and does not need an Adam to live and to find her own paradise. She comes up with the idea that everyone has his or her own paradises, and no one can find one that everyone likes. Anyway, I digress. They get to the house and Spade and Sine move to one side of the stairs as Eve and two of her bodyguards come down.

Eve: Oh! Hello! Are you two here to see the Captain too?
Spade: Yeah, we are.
Eve: Where are you headed?
Spade: To Esca.
Eve: Really? Me too! The Captain’s in a good mood, I’m sure he’ll give you the passport right away.
Spade: Doesn’t he usually give them right away?
Eve: Well, I heard from this one guy that he had to wait a week to get his passport since the Captain was mad about something.
Bodyguard 1: Eve, we have to get going.
Eve: Yeah, yeah, I hear you. Well, it was nice meeting you two. I hope to see you all later!

They leave, and the players are privy to what is heard outside.

Voice: Oh! There’s Eve!
Voice: Tell us you’ll lead us to paradise!
Voice: Oh my gosh! She touched me!
Bodyguard: Please get out of Eve’s way; she needs to get to the ship.

Silence ensues for a little bit before Sine gets a look of disgust.

Sine: Stupid fraud.
Spade: What’s wrong with you?
Sine: They’re blindly worshipping her. They aren’t even thinking.
Spade: Well, she is an Eve, what do you expect?
Sine: Don’t tell me you’re as pathetic as they are?
Spade: I never said I agreed with them.
Sine: So, you don’t?
Spade: I never said that either.
Sine: Pick one.
Spade: You’re very black and white, aren’t you? Can you even fathom the possibility that there is that gray area in between the two answers?
Sine: Er… come on. I’m tired of waiting for that damn passport.

He rejoins the group and the player is left to go up to the captain’s room to get the passport. So, the player gets the passport they go back to the ship and the event continues.

Sailor: Ah, so which ship are you going on?
Spade: The one headed for Esca.
Sailor: Ooh, the one with Eve. She’s got quite the fans. Come right this—

The sailor stops as a sound is heard. You see Alex jumping off the wall.

Alex: Sorry!

The sailor has an exasperated emotion and turns back to Spade.

Sailor: Ugh, that’s it. I hope he breaks his legs. I’ll chase him down after I get you to your ship. You said to Esca right?
Spade: Yes, that’s right.
Sailor: All right, come this way then.

The screen fades once again. I have a lot of fading out, don’t I? Anyway the screen fades out again and when it reappears on the player, they are sitting in the Esca ship, eating something. Eve shows up and goes to their table.

Eve: Hey, I remember you! You were the nice lady from Rook Port. So, was the Captain nice to you too?
Spade: Well, I’m here, aren’t I?
Eve: That you are, may I sit with you?
Sine: No.
Eve: Excuse me?
Spade: Yes you may.

Eve sits down.

Eve: So, are you that Knight and priest combo that’s going on a pilgrimage?
Sine: Yeah, why do you care?
Eve: I was just curious, touchy aren’t you?
Spade: He’s just seasick.
Eve: So, where are you headed?
Sine: Churches, and we have to end at Queens.
Eve: Queens, huh? Isn’t that a bit far from Esca?
Sine: It wouldn’t be a pilgrimage if I started at Queens, would it?
Eve: Well, no… but there are churches around Queens.
Sine: Jonah told me I had to start at Esca and end at Queens.
Eve: Ooh, so, you’re listening to a Judge.
Sine: No duh.
Eve: So, Miss Knight—er, what is your name?
Spade: Oh, Spade Alcatraz.
Eve: All right, so Spade, why did you decide to become a knight?
Spade: Family tradition I guess.
Eve: Aww, so you didn’t have a choice?
Spade: I guess you could put it that way.
Eve: That’s sad. You should have had a choice!
Spade: It’s not so bad; I enjoy protecting people.
Eve: I think it would get annoying. ‘Specially with ones like him.
Sine: Hey, I’m sitting right here.
Eve: I know you are, Mr. Priest—
Sine: My name is Sine Bene.
Eve: Fine, SINE. Sheesh, touchy.
Sine: I am seasick. Remember?
Eve: That’s no cause to be rude.
Sine: Maybe I just don’t like you.
Eve: And what did I do? Oh, is it because I’m talkative? All you priests are exactly the same.
Sine: Excuse me? I didn’t say anything like that.
Eve: Then why don’t you like me?
Spade: Hey, hey, both of you! Stop it!
Sine: Spade, I never said anything like that! I’m not gonna—
Spade: I said drop it; now, eat your soup. It’ll make you feel better.
Eve: Aww, he got yelled at. I have to get to sleep anyway. It was nice talking to you, Spade. And you, Sine, well… it was cute.

She walks off, leaving Sine and Spade.

Sine: What a bloody fraud.
Spade: Sine, stop saying that.
Sine: But it’s true.
Spade: How do you know that? You’ve only known her for like a few hours.
Sine: She’s an Eve without an Adam. Don’t you remember what they taught us in school? “Eves without Adams are dangerous.”
Spade: And do you believe that?
Sine: But she is dangerous. Everyone is worshipping her without thinking. She has no Adam, which means she might not be an Eve. She’s dangerous to herself.
Spade: Just leave it be. And stop being rude, you’ll never get liked that way.
Sine: I don’t need a damn lecture.
Spade: And watch your language! You’re a priest.
Sine: Leave me alone.
Spade: Seriously, Sine.
Sine: We left around 17 o’clock, didn’t we?
Spade: Umm, yes.
Sine: Has it always taken this long to get to Esca?
Spade: Umm…
Sine: Who else knows Eve is on this ship?
Spade: Well, probably everyone.
Sine: I’m sure this ship isn’t going to Esca. I remember that we should have been there by now.
Spade: You think—
Sine: Maybe we should ask Eve about it.
Spade: Just to quell your paranoia?
Sine: Please, Spade.
Spade: Fine, let’s go find Eve’s room.

So, again, the screen fades out. It fades back in on Eve’s room. She is looking at something on the table and then Spade and Sine enter. She jumps and looks at them.

Eve: Oh, I knew I should have kept my bodyguards around.
Sine: Oh save that, we’re not here to hurt you.
Eve: I knew Spade wasn’t, but you on the other hand, I’m worried.
Spade: Sine, don’t you dare reply.
Sine: …
Spade: Eve, we just want to know if you saw anyone suspicious when you were getting on the ship. Or if anyone odd was just really interested in what ship you were getting on.
Eve: Um… Well, to be honest, Nasat, you know that creepy fallen Noble? He told me I should head to Esca, said he saw someone who could have been Adam there. Also, he said he heard that from a Judge. But, that’s Nasat! He’s always whacked out on something.
Sine: But something’s wrong. We should be at Esca by now.
Eve: So what if they’re taking it slow. Paranoid people are pretty annoying, you know.
Sine: I’m not just being paranoid! Something is wrong!
Eve: No, there probably isn’t anything wrong. You’re just sore because we’re taking it slow. I didn’t think you would be so eager to start on that pilgrimage. You sure don’t seem like that type.
Sine: Please, just listen to me!
Eve: Why should I? You already proved you hated me, so what if you’re just trying to get me killed?
Sine: FINE! [He turns to leave] Spade, I’m going to be in my room. If we die, you can blame her when you and her get to Heaven. [He rushes out.]

Another fading screen! Don’t you love these? Fades back into the hallway and we see Alex searching through some boxes as Sine comes out.

Sine: I try to help and this is what happens!

Sine begins to walk away, but pauses and looks towards Alex.

Sine: Hmm?

Quickly, he runs over to Alex, as if catching him in some act.

Sine: I knew it!
Alex: Kn-Knew what?
Sine: I knew that was you in Rook! Why did you dye your hair? I think I preferred it lighter.
Alex: Oh, well, it was kinda too light and kinda made me stick out.
Sine: Yeah, but it was nicer. But, you tried to avoid me again! Next time you’re in Rook, you should come up to the Abbey: I missed you.
Alex: I just got up here from Zorn City, I was just going to head to Esca to buy some more things for cooking.
Sine: No excuses! Next time, I’m making sure you visit me!
Alex: Hehe, if-if you say so!

They stop suddenly as a laugh is echoed through the ship. They both look down and see an angel thing float through the ship. It goes to Eve’s room and fades into the door. As Sine turns back to Alex, another one appears.

Alex: What was that?!
Sine: This ship isn’t going to Esca! I think someone’s trying to kill Eve.
Alex: Excuse me? Who would want to do that?
Sine: Just trust me.

Alex suddenly is enveloped in a spell and floats upwards.

Alex: Sine! What’s going on?
Sine: Don’t worry, I’ll come find you in just a few seconds!

Boom, Alex disappears and the screen switches back to Spade and Eve.

Eve: Well, at least he said we were going to Heaven. Isn’t that cute?
Spade: He did bring up a point at dinner, though. He seemed worried that you didn’t have an Adam.
Eve: Don’t tell me he really is just like all the other priests. He’s probably just feigning worry just like all the other ones!
Spade: But, where is your Adam? The Judges won’t be very happy if you don’t find one. In fact, no one will. Sine said you were a danger to yourself. That will be true if you can’t find an Adam.
Eve: Then I’ll steal a boy off the street and say he’s Adam. I know I’ll find one, Spade. I am an Eve.
Spade: I hope that for your sake, you aren’t lying.
Eve: I’m not, no matter what that priest of yours believes.

Suddenly, the lights flicker out and a large crash is heard. They jump as Sine runs back into the room.

Sine: Who the hell wants you dead?!
Eve: If anyone wants anyone dead, it is probably you they want dead!
Sine: I am not the fraud!

Angels appear around Eve and suddenly disappear.

Sine: Oh no…

He pushes her out of their middle and turns to Spade who looks at him.

Spade: Sine, what’s wrong?!
Sine: Get away from her!

The angels reappear again and this time, they stay.

Eve: Oh my… what are those things, Sine?!
Spade: What are what?
Eve: You don’t see them?
Sine: Spade, stop thinking like a bloody knight and look around!
Spade: Sine, what are you talking about?
Sine: [turning to Eve] Eve, do you see them?
Eve: They’re spinning now, right?
Sine: Then please help me! They’re going to kill us!
Spade: What?!

BATTLE! Yes, a hard battle with angels commences. Once the battle is over, the angels shriek and disappear. When they do, Sine is still pretty worried.

Sine: We need to get out of here; we NEED to get out of here!
Spade: Sine, what’s--!!

Spade is cut off when the whole screen erupts in white. I want to add a picture in here showing Sine’s arms glowing, but that probably isn’t going to happen. Anyway, it happens and then the screen fades to black again.

Spade-[n]: I can’t remember what happened after that flash. I think someone grabbed my arm, but it went by so fast and I was out of it so fast that I cannot be sure. The next thing that I knew, I could feel the soft waves washing over me.

The screen fades in and you see Spade and Eve passed out on a beach. Wonder what they were drinking! Spade wakes up first, and looks around.

Spade: Oooh… [She stands up.] Sine? Where are… oh no…

Eve stirs from her sleep and stands up.

Eve: Ow… hey… it’s Spade from the boat! I just had the craziest dream with you… oh… huh… why are we on a beach?
Spade: That wasn’t a dream.
Eve: I figured not. I think I am still a bit singed from that thing that attacked us.
Spade: Why are we here? Where is everyone else?
Eve: Umm… if I didn’t dream it… Sine grabbed our arms. Remember? He yelled something that I can’t remember and his arms glowed. But… what can help us is magic that is forbidden to use with you people.
Spade: Forbidden?
Eve: The only spell that I can think of that can do that require you to carve some Satanist symbols into your arm. Very masochistic! Get with the times, honey, they should have said that in Knight-school.
Spade: Hah, you’re a bit off for an Eve.
Eve: Well, Eves are changing from this day forth!

Eve looks around and frowns.

Eve: Couldn’t he have somehow brought my bodyguards?
Spade: Don’t worry; I can protect you until we find you your bodyguards. We have to find out where Sine went first, though.
Eve: He had better be here too.
Spade: Don’t jinx it.
Eve: Right!

The player is allowed control. They walk up the path and find Sine again. Next happens when the player talks to Sine. See: talking is fun.

Sine: I can’t read this sign. Do you know where we are, Spade?
Eve: God! I can barely see you out here! You shouldn’t wander off like that, Mr. Priest!
Sine: You came to? Damn, I wanted you to drown.
Eve: Excuse me?
Sine: My name is Sine Bene. Stop with that priest stuff.
Eve: Be a little more polite!
Sine: Spade, please, do you know where we are?
Spade: There are a lot of islands south of Esca.
Eve: Oh, Bishop Island is south of Esca; think that is where we are?
Sine: How are we supposed to know?
Eve: I’m just helping, stop being so rude. Besides, it’s so cold! Can we keep moving?
Sine: Of course it is cold; it’s autumn. God, and you’re wet! Why do you think you’re cold?
Eve: Can I just make a general statement without you attacking me?
Spade: Stop it, now! You’re acting like children. Look, we need to find a town of some sort so I can correctly place where we are. Then, we can probably find a ship off here.
Sine: It’s too dark now. I can’t see anything either, and Eve is right: it is really cold. We’re wet, it’s autumn, and we shouldn’t be out here like this. There’s a house up there actually, I checked it out after we arrived: it’s empty, so we should stay there until morning.
Spade: Better than nothing, I suppose.

The group reforms and together they go to the house. When they arrive at the house, provided that you looked at the flowers, the event will continue. I will put in a branch if not.

Sine: Since it is abandoned, we can stay here. I already checked before.
Eve: You already said that, why are you acting so paranoid?
Sine: I’m not being paranoid, what made you think that?

[If flowers are looked at]
Spade: But, Sine, the flowers outside look like they were just pruned. This place is pretty furnished for being abandoned.
Sine: So? Maybe someone tends to the place, I don’t know. No one is here now, and that is what matters.
[/If flowers are looked at]

Spade: All right, we can stay here. It is way too dark to be search for another place to stay anyway.
Sine: In the morning, we’ll go search for a town or something, right?
Spade: Yeah, don’t worry.

So, the screen fades and the group splits off. Sine goes to one room while Eve goes to the other. The text in the game is pretty much fine, so I don’t have to change it. And I am lazy. In addition, the act of Spade finding the room and junk, that’s all fine. So, the next event happens when they get to Town of Bishop. The group deforms and Sine turns to Spade and Eve.

Sine: Ok, I’m going to go look around and ask people where that boat is. Go stock up.
Spade: Hey, you aren’t supposed to—
Sine: Just let me go, you two are really hard to be around all the time.

He walks off, leaving Spade and Eve.

Spade: I really wish he wouldn’t do that.

[If flowers are looked at]
Eve: Was he acting funny to you?
Spade: Um, no… why?
Eve: He just seems a bit more paranoid than usual.
Spade: Maybe he’s just sick?
[/If flowers are looked at]

The group reforms with just Eve and Spade. You can wander around now, but when you go find Sine and Alex, the next event occurs. Spade and Eve disperse and stand in front of Sine and Alex who look at them.

Spade: Oh, you found someone to talk to. Who is he, Sine?
Sine: This is Alex—he is trying to get to the mainland as well. Did you know he was on the ship with us?
Eve: Oh! I knew I recognized you. I’m sorry my bodyguards were rude; they didn’t hurt you, did they?
Alex: N-No, I’m fine.
Sine: So, Spade, is it all right if he comes with us? I could really use someone else to talk to.
Spade: I don’t care to be honest. As long as he doesn’t end up dragging us down.
Sine: Haha, she thinks you’re deadweight, Alex, isn’t that funny?
Alex: Um… I guess a little.
Sine: Alex told me of that ship that goes from this island to the mainland. It’s up the trail and through some caves. I’m sure we can get a ride from that.
Spade: Good going, and here I didn’t think you would ask around.
Sine: I’m going to wait at the clinic while you get some supplies. The seasickness hasn’t gone away yet and they might have something for that.
Spade: Fine, I’ll come get you when we’re ready to leave.
Sine: Great, come on Alex.

Sine starts to move first and Alex follows. Alex pauses in front of Spade.

Alex: Thank you, Miss Alcatraz.
Spade: Er, just Spade is fine.
Alex: Ok, thank you, Spade.

He walks off and Eve looks at Spade.

Eve: You were pretty trusting.
Spade: Sine is paranoid: remember?
Eve: Oh, right. That’s true, he wouldn’t have wanted someone else unless he knew them.
Spade: Besides, everyone seems to give that kid an odd look, do you know why?
Eve: Nope, not at all.
Spade: How did he get here anyway? I thought Sine only grabbed us.
Eve: Sine did leave my room. Besides, there could be an ulterior motive for that kid coming along.
Spade: Like what?
Eve: Remember how I spoke of that forbidden magic? Well, only a few people memorize the scriptures and symbols for that. The kid kinda seems like one.
Spade: How so?
Eve: This might just be a stereotype, but people who do that have nimble, thin hands. And his arms are kinda riddled with scars that seem like practicing.
Spade: How do you know so much about this?
Eve: I grew up with one. Can we go now? I’d like to get off this island as soon as possible.
Spade: All right, all right.

They reform into their lovely group. The player has the choice to go to the clinic or wander around. The event that follows is when they go to the clinic. The screen fades when Spade enters the door and you are privy to a scene between Sine and Alex.

Alex: Um… I didn’t tell you about the guy’s house. That old lady did.
Sine: I know, but Spade probably wouldn’t have agreed to let you come along if you didn’t provide something.

The screen fades in and you see the clinic room.

Alex: Oh, really?
Sine: I don’t know; I wasn’t about to take that chance. I’m not going to leave you here.
Alex: Yeah, I figured that.
Sine: And, I need you to redo my arms. The baths in the Abbey make scars go away, so some of them have stopped working.
Alex: What happened to my sister?
Sine: Um… you were at her funeral.
Alex: That isn’t what I meant.
Sine: I won’t let you die! Your sister did some pretty dumb stuff to me. I’m sorry it happened the way it did, but I won’t let that happen to you. Besides, let it go: I am taking you back to the mainland, aren’t I?
Alex: Yeah, I didn’t thank you for that yet, did I?
Sine: It’s all right. Hehe, you seem to be acting more like your father everyday. Straight to the point, I think you’ve been talking to him too long!
Alex: Hehe, not as much as you would think.
Sine: Oh, he hasn’t talked to you lately? Shame on him!
Alex: It’s all right; he needs a break every now and then. [Pause.] Was it Eve’s fault that the ship was attacked?
Sine: Probably. I’m actually not really positively sure. But, she is a fraud, makes the most sense, right?
Alex: So, she really is a fraud?
Sine: Oh well, let the world be deceived. It’s what it’s good at. Now, hurry up with my arms, I don’t really want Spade to know how I get these.
Alex: She knows about them?
Sine: A little bit, I don’t think she knows exactly what they are.

The screen fades into black and boom, you see Spade again! Anyway, Spade rounds them up and you are allowed to go to the caves. This next event happens midway through that cave. You choose to sleep and the next event unfolds. Actually, that scene is fine the way it is. So is any scene up until the Old Man’s boat. Yay, isn’t that nice? So, the next event happens when the player confronts the bitter old man (BOM for short. Haha, bom.)

BOM: Who are you? You don’t look like the one I ordered.
Spade: I hear you have a boat. Is this true?
BOM: Yeah, what of it?
Spade: May we use it to get back to the mainland?
BOM: I aint’ running no free-taxi service, lady.
Spade: How much?
BOM: One hundred million.
Sine: What?!
Alex: That’s way too much!
Eve: Be reasonable!
Spade: We don’t have that kind of money. No one around here does. It’s just a cargo ship, it’s not like we’re paying for luxury!
BOM: Not my fault, sweetie: say, tell ya what, I’ll let you ride if—
Eve: Hell no!
BOM: Don’t flatter yourself, I meant the older one.
Sine: [pushing Spade back.] You sick bastard, you can’t just demand that of them!
BOM: Do you want the ship or not?
Sine: Don’t you have any kind of—
BOM: Stop preaching, it’s not going to change me mind. Sides, if she doesn’t want to do it, why not the little boy? I’m sure the priests will be happy with that choice.
Sine: Why you son of a—
Spade: Stop. [She pushes Sine back and stands in front of the old man again.] Well, this seems to be at a standstill.
BOM: Couldn’t have said it better myself, sweetie.
Spade: Don’t call me that.
BOM: Ma’am.
Spade: We’ll be back.
BOM: Better bring money or some bait.
Spade: I hope you rot in Hell.
BOM: Could say the same for you.

Spade steps back.

Spade: Let’s go.

The screen fades and then the player finds themselves in an inn room.

Spade: Eve, how much money do you have?
Eve: I have only three thousand, but that was for cost of travel. I’m too paranoid to use it.
Alex: I guess they didn’t expect you to get royally stuck.
Sine: Can’t we just steal the boat from the bastard?
Spade: I said, watch your mouth. And that’s gutsy talk from a priest. I don’t need us to get into any more trouble with the Judges. They probably aren’t very happy that we’ve taken this long to get to Esca.
Sine: I don’t see any other option, Spade. This is a small island, meant for fallen nobles. They are meant to be stuck, exiled away from people. No one else probably has a ship that can reach the mainland before breaking.
Spade: I realized that, Sine. But stealing is against the Ten Commandments. You are a priest—you should know that. Besides, why don’t you teleport us? You done so now at least three times.
Sine: That is none of your business. I just can’t. [Pause.] Come on, Alex. I want to go for a walk.

They begin to walk out.

Spade: Wait, Sine, I’m not letting you walk away again!
Sine: Screw you. I’m not a child; I don’t need my hand held. I’m just going for a nightly stroll with Alex. I promise not to touch the old man. If anything happens, he can easily protect me. Just keep an eye on our little fraud here.

He storms out with Alex in tow.

Eve: Snappy.
Spade: What the hell is his problem?
Eve: We’re stuck on an island, the old guy propositioned you and Alex, Sine is paranoid—do you want me to go on?
Spade: No, Eve, I do not.
Eve: I’m sorry, that was really bad form. Even if we steal the ship, does Sine even know how to pilot one?
Spade: I don’t think so.
Eve: Maybe we shouldn’t have used that last communication sphere on Matthias.
Spade: I’m starting to think that too. Don’t tell Sine that we had one.
Eve: Yeah, you wouldn’t hear the end of that one. Don’t worry about it.

Screen fades and you are shown Alex and Sine.

Sine: We’re stealing that ship.
Alex: You are gutsy! I can see why my sister’s dead.
Sine: Damn it, Alex! Stop acting like you knew what happened. You don’t, end of story. Now stop freaking bringing that up, I didn’t take pleasure in watching her die!
Alex: S-Sorry.
Sine: We just need to get going before Spade follows us.
Alex: Taking her would be a good idea; we don’t know what that old man can do.
Sine: Because she would get in the way. I promise I won’t let you die. How many times do I have to say it? Anyway, before we get the ship, I should see if I can persuade that old man. I’m really not keen on stealing it.
Alex: Forcefully make him agree.
Sine: See, you have the right idea.
Alex: Just be careful, I couldn’t understand some of those symbols on your arms.
Sine: I know: I won’t kill him.
Alex: That’s not very reassuring.

The player has control and the next part happens when they reach the bitter old man’s house (BOM again.)

Alex: Why aren’t we going in?
Sine: He’s in there with a whore… I think… actually, I would rather NOT know what he is up to. Could be doing it with himself for all I know.
Alex: … So, we’re just going to sit here?
Sine: Would you rather walk in on him? I don’t think that would be a pretty sight.
Alex: Good point… But the boat is right there; we could just steal it. Screw morality.
Sine: Alex, I don’t know how to pilot a boat, do you?
Alex: Oh… well, I guess we are waiting.
Sine: Not much else to do.

The scene fades and you are met with one with Spade and Eve. Spade begins to move towards the door.

Eve: Where are you going?
Spade: I want to see if I can reason with that captain again.
Eve: What about Alex and Sine?
Spade: They’ll be fine. We’ll come back for them when we get that boat.
Eve: So, you are going to steal it.
Spade: I didn’t say that… Just come on.

Again, the scene fades and you are back to Sine and Alex.

Alex: Oh, Sine… I don’t hear anything anymore.
Sine: I guess we can barge in on him now.

They barge in, a pathetic scream is heard and Alex turns on the light after Sine yells at him to do so!

BOM: Oh, so you came back.
Sine: Listen closely: you are going to let us use your boat, and you are going to take us to the mainland.
BOM: That is an empty threat, kid.
Sine: See these symbols on my arm?
BOM: Ahh, those forbidden scriptures. Didn’t know a lot of kids used them nowadays. Aren’t they banned? That glowing one, you plan on using it?
Sine: So, you’re going to—
BOM: Granted, if you use that, I will probably die. But you’ll be short an arm.
Sine: What?
BOM: If you use it, I will be dead. But you’ll also probably die from blood loss. You sure you want to risk that?
Sine: It won’t blow off my arm.
BOM: You sure about that? You’ve probably never used it, I mean, come on. You’re a kid! I’m a pirate, well into my years. I’ve had time to see these things.
Alex: Please, don’t do anything rash.
BOM: I know, use that spell! And if you survive, you can have my ship and crew.
Alex: Sine, please don’t. I have no idea what those ones can do.
BOM: I dare ya, ya little bastard. I bet’cha you have never killed anyone before.
Sine: I have.
BOM: Prove it.
Alex: Please, don’t.
Sine: I don’t need these stupid things to kill the likes of you!

Battle ensues! Remember to defend, that should be your favorite action in this battle. After battle, Sine prepares to kill the old man!

Spade: SINE! DON’T!

Spade and Eve rush in, Eve stopping next to Alex and Spade running up to the old man.

BOM: Oh, have you reconsidered my offer, lady?
Spade: [Getting out her sword.] Hell no. But under the order of the Judges’ Knights, I command you to take us back to the mainland.
BOM: HOLY SHIT! YOU’RE A KNIGHT?!
Spade: You’d better take us, or I’ll CHOP them off. [Pause.] I’m serious, just drop your—
BOM: Oh, shit! NO! Hold on, come back tomorrow morning! I swear ta God that I’ll have the ship ready to take you anywhere you want to go!
Spade: Good, now, you three, we’re heading back to the inn.

The screen fades and you go back to the inn room.

Sine: You could have done that this whole time!?
Spade: Well, no. Not really. It was sort of a lie.
Eve: Oh, great.
Spade: Fact is… I am an Eastern Knight. I don’t have power all the way out here. However, he didn’t realize that, and I don’t believe there is any way for him to figure out that I can’t do that.
Alex: So, we’re safe then.
Spade: Seems that way. There are no other Knights present here, I’ve noticed. But, we got the ship. That is all that matters! We can get to Esca in the morning and be on our way.
Sine: Good, we can go to sleep no—
Spade: You’re not off the hook, Sine.
Sine: Excuse me?
Spade: I’m curious; you are a priest, right?
Sine: Yes.
Eve: Then what’s up with your arms?
Sine: That’s not business of a fraud.
Spade: Eve, I will handle this. Sine, you know those are illegal. If the Judges caught you with those, you’d be headless.
Sine: Oh please. How many of those priests and Judges do you think will ask me to take off my shirt? Besides, they are only for protection.
Spade: Really? Not what I was about to see.
Sine: And it’s none of your damn business either!
Spade: Alex.
Alex: What?
Spade: If you put those symbols on Sine’s arm again, please tell me.
Alex: Oh?
Spade: Tell me what each symbol does, and if there is anyway to prevent Sine from using them.
Alex: Umm…
Sine: Don’t you dare try that.
Spade: I don’t want you to end up dead.
Sine: I won’t! I’m not dead yet, am I?
Spade: Alex, will you do that for me?
Sine: Just stay out of it, Spade!
Spade: I am responsible for you, Sine. End of story. Alex, if I find that you put more symbols on him and didn’t tell me, I will turn you into the Judges.
Sine: No you will not! Leave Alex out of it!
Spade: Now, all three of you, get to bed.
Eve: Ok! [Goes to her bed.]
Alex: Um… ok… I’m sorry, Miss Alcatraz. [Slinks off to his bed.]
Sine: Spade, please, don’t. If you turn him into the Judges…
Spade: He won’t have anything to worry about if he tells me what he puts on your arms.

Sine and Spade go to their respective beds, and the next happens only if you activated the flowers. Actually, that scene is pretty fine the way it is. No changing needed.

They arrive at Esca!

Spade: So… this is Esca Port? Not really what I was expecting.
Sine: Yes, this is it. Now, if you don’t mind, I’d rather not spend that much time here.
Spade: What’s wrong with this place now?
Sine: See those windows on the walls? The Knights watch everything you do here. Very creepy.
Eve: It’s to protect from pirates.
Sine: I think I’d rather have my privacy than protection. Come on Alex, I don’t think you’ve ever visited Esca Church, have you?
Alex: Oh, no, I haven’t.

They go to leave.

Spade: Hold on, you two! I’m not going to let you wander off again!
Alex: I promise to tell you what I put on his arms: don’t worry.
Sine: And I’m not going to sit in this city just to be spied on. Meet me at the church.

Sine walks off, while Alex strays behind.

Alex: Don’t worry; I’ll make sure he doesn’t use that on anyone.
Spade: Alex, I didn’t mean to hurt you or anything. I just have to be responsible for him.
Alex: Yeah, I understand. Someone should have done that with Erial though. Maybe he wouldn’t be so paranoid now. Bye, I’ll see you at the church.

Alex follows Sine and you are left with Spade and Eve.

Spade: I don’t think I’ve met a teenager as polite as he.
Eve: I’ve never met anyone as obedient.
Spade: You’re not going to compare him to a dog now, are you?
Eve: Oh! That didn’t come out right at all! Please don’t tell him I said that!
Spade: Don’t worry about it. Come on, we need to get to the Knight’s Station so I can check in.

So, they trot along and the player is allowed to go to the Knight’s Station. You cannot leave the town until you do so, so HAH. Forcing players to go places is quite fun. In any case, they go to the Knight’s Station and stand at the desk.

Knight: Ah! You must be Spade Alcatraz. Matthias said you should be showing up soon.
Spade: Yes, I am very sorry that I am late.
Knight: All right, let me go check in with Matthias so he knows you arrived. I shall be back shortly so wait here.
Spade: Oh, wait, do you know where Eve can get in contact with her bodyguards.
Knight: We don’t cover that here. There are some Immortal Knights at the church; they usually handle stuff like that. So, when you go to the church, you can just drop her off there.

The Knight leaves to go do that paperwork stuff. Spade and Eve are left alone when Ben and Adam come into the picture.

Ben: Oh, Spade, is that you?
Spade: Hmm? Who are you?
Ben: You’ve grown a lot since I last saw you! You were about eight or nine when I accompanied you and your mother to Knight Fort. Do you remember?
Spade: Oh, you were that rich guy complaining about the lack of a pillow.
Ben: Is that all you remembered?
Spade: I was eight, what do you expect? My mom talked about you though a lot, she thought you had some pretty good ideas.
Ben: Your mother was very good about spotting good ideas.
Spade: So, what are you doing here? I thought my mother said you lived in Kings City.
Ben: Just on a little trip. I am actually planning to visit your mother soon. Does she still live in that little town?
Spade: As far as I know. She hasn’t told me if she left it.
Ben: Goodie then. Come on, Adam, we should get going.
Eve: Did you just call him Adam?
Ben: That is his—oh, you’re that Eve. Tsk. Tsk.
Eve: Excuse me? How can that child be Adam if I’m Eve?
Ben: Because you’re a simple fraud. He’s missing one of his ribs, you know so he is legit… unlike you. Go back to where you came from; maybe the Judges won’t lop off your head.
Eve: How do you know he’s missing one? Did you open him up or something?
Ben: Just accept it, dear. You’re fraud. If you don’t get going soon, I’m sure the people will find out. Would you like that to happen?

Eve, without anything really to say, runs out of the room.

Spade: Eve, wait! Ugh, what was that for?
Ben: What? Wouldn’t you rather know the truth?
Spade: You didn’t have to do that.
Ben: Fine, live in your fallacy. But, really, Spade: are you really are with the Knights? If so, I suggest you leave them. Their influence is failing. You are sullying your own name by staying with them.
Spade: I’m fine.
Ben: I’m sure your mother will agree with me. I’m starting another group, one to combat those heathens you call Knights. Talk to your mother if you feel like helping.

He leaves with Adam following quickly. Spade sighs as Eve comes back in.

Spade: Eve, I’m sorry.
Eve: What’s there to be sorry about? He’s right after all.
Spade: Don’t think of it like that. You still bring hope to people—
Eve: So? I’m still a fraud. Once they figure it out, I’m going to be dead.
Spade: Can you go back to the Nobles?
Eve: Are you kidding me? If they learn that I was dumb enough to get found out, they won’t want me back! They’d abandon me, kill me! I don’t know.
Spade: Eve, screaming about it won't help at all.
Eve: What am I supposed to do then? I don’t want to die, and I don’t want to be hurt.
Spade: Just lay low. Get out of the public eye.
Eve: And where do you expect I should go?
Spade: I don’t know.
Eve: Ok, ok. I’ll calm down. I’m sorry. Just get me to the Immortal Knights and I’ll figure it out from there.
Spade: All right, come on.
Eve: Don’t mention this to Sine; I don’t want to be ridiculed anymore.
Spade: I wouldn’t do that.

They form together and leave. The Knight comes back up the stairs, now confused.

Knight: Um… Spade? Where did you go?

So, they trot along through town. If the player is perceptive, they’ll see Adora in a place they cannot get to. Anyway, all goes well and Spade takes Eve to the church to get Immortal Guards.

Knight: Ahh, we got your message, Miss Eve. Your new bodyguards will be here shortly, and this time we made sure they won’t screw up.
Eve: The other ones didn’t screw up…
Knight: Yes, they did. They did not secure a protected vessel and ended up almost getting you killed. But you are alive, that’s all that matters.
Eve: Excuse me?! What about all those other people on that boat?
Knight: A sad event. But they are now safe in Heaven.
Eve: Fine. Well, Spade, I guess this is where we say goodbye. Thank you for helping me.
Spade: Yeah, no problem.

Eve walks into the next room, leaving Spade.

Spade: Good luck…

Next is to go to the main church where Sine is waiting. When you talk to him, this next event occurs.

Sine: Oh, where’s Eve? She told me on the ship she had business to do here.
Spade: And she’s done them, she’s waiting for her new bodyguards in the other building. Why, are you worried?
Sine: Er… no.
Spade: Right.

[If Ending Scene 01]
Sine: Did I ever thank you, by the way, Spade?
Spade: Oh, is Sine showing compassion for once? How eerie, are you sick?
Sine: Screw you then! Sheesh.
Spade: No-no, I was kidding! I’m sorry!
Sine: Thank you.
[/If Ending Scene 01]

Sine: Ok, come on, I want to get this over with quickly.

The group reforms with Alex and the player is once again allowed control. They go through Esca church and eventually get to the Exorcism Room. They get to the room and they all go forward, a priest is at the bookshelf, walking doing something.

Priest Charles: Oh! Sine! You’re finally here! Sorry that the room is such a mess. I’ve been researching to any anomalies that may come from you being so young.
Sine: Yeah, I’m sorry it took so long.
Priest Charles: No problem. Whenever I sail, I always end up behind schedule. Those captains just aren’t trustworthy to get to places on time, you know? I heard that they were making ships that can fly through the air actually, have you heard about that?
Sine: I’ve heard a little bit about it. Just through passing though, nothing real concrete.
Priest Charles: (After a pause.) So… Have you ever done this formally before?
Sine: Formally?
Priest Charles: Now, don’t play coy with me. I know that you tried this once before, disastrous results I must say. Left you and your guardian a little worse for wear, yes? The Judges warned me about it, so you know.
Sine: Oh… I didn’t know the Judges told everyone.
Priest Charles: No matter. For cases such as yours, we call the process of going into your mind “diving”. You go with a guardian, Escort, and find out what is not supposed to be there. Anything wrong, you be rid of it.
Sine: That goes without saying.
Priest Charles: I shall be monitoring you and your Escort while you are in there. Now… let’s see, your Escort shall be…
Sine: I choose Alex.
Priest Charles: Umm… no. Alex is… umm… how old are you son?
Alex: Fifteen…
Priest Charles: See, far too young. You should know this Sine. I mean… you’re even too young for this! You can’t possibly think a growing fifteen year old will be able to sort out your mind when he’s still maturing himself.
Alex: Sorry, Sine.
Sine: It’s not your fault, no need to apologize.
Spade: Sine, what’s wrong with me?

[If Ending Scene 01]
Sine: Umm… nothing, just the last person who went in and screwed up was a lady your age…
Spade: You know I won’t do that.
Sine: I know… just kinda hard to trust people, you know?
[If NOT Ending Scene 01]
Sine: You’re annoying.
Spade: Look, I’m here for a reason!
Sine: Fine then, if you want in so badly.
[/IF/NOT Ending Scene 01]

Priest Charles: Ok, Spade, you should read the rules in the book on the table. I’m going to get Sine ready and when you are done, I’ll call you in.

They leave and Spade and Alex are left alone.

Spade: Well, I feel out of place.
Alex: It’s not you: don’t worry.
Spade: Whatever, let’s go read those rules, shall we?

Ok, the next event is fine the way it is. Don’t need to change anything about it. In addition, the scene with Spade going into Sine’s mind is the same. Much fun. So, the next scene I shall write is when Spade arrives in Sine’s mind, the fictional Rivere. This place is empty besides NPCs who are gray and cannot be spoken to. They are merely there as ghosts or remnants of the past.

Spade: Oh wow… this is what your mind looks like?
Sine: The Judge’s said that your mind usually, when you can see it like this, will always be the place you grew up.
Spade: What if you were always moved around as a kid?
Sine: Hmm, I don’t know. Maybe it will be the place you are most comfortable in? The only place that felt like home?
Spade: That’s nice, so this is your home?
Sine: On the outside it is. Inside, it’s a bit different.
Spade: Why is that?
Sine: I do not know. Can we get moving now? I hate standing around like this.
Spade: Yeah, yeah. Do you know where to go?
Sine: Sort of. If I remember, there should only be one way to go for now—it should be a building that’s unlocked or a path that isn’t blocked.
Spade: All right.

They merge together into their party-party and the player is allowed to move on. The first place they can go to is the Mayor’s House. The Mayor’s house is a sudden change of scenery, being dark, foggy and mechanical-steampunk like area. When you go to the first gate, Sine goes to open it.

Spade: You weren’t kidding about this place.
Sine: I know I wasn’t.
Spade: Why is it like this? I have never seen any of this before.
Sine: I don’t know. The Judges can actually make this stuff you know.
Spade: How?
Sine: When I was younger, they used to come in here a lot, take notes and make the stuff in the real world. When I stopped coming up with new things, they stopped coming.
Spade: That’s sad… they just used you…
Sine: Now you know why I don’t like them.
Spade: So, how do we open it?

Sine puts his hand to his head and pulls his arm away. A key appears in his hand.

Sine: It’s my mind. I can unlock it whenever I want to. As long, as I guess there aren't any riddles.
Spade: Why would riddles stop you? Shouldn’t you know them?
Sine: When I was a kid, I always tried to solve lots of riddles, if I never solved one, it gave me nightmares. Knowing my luck, there are going to be riddles I have never solved.
Spade: Yeah, probably because you just said that.

The door is unlocked and the player is allowed access. The next place is the actual incinerator part of the Mayor’s house. The event is as follows. Spade and Sine come down the ladder and Spade goes forth.

Spade: Sine, what is that smell?
Sine: I think this is the Incinerator. This is one of those new execution devices the Judges have been creating. They say it can burn the sin off of the sinner and allow them passage into Heaven.
Spade: We’ll burn them when they’re alive?
Sine: That’s what Nox said. Matthias assured me the people would be dead, but I think he’s lying.
Spade: But that’s horrible...
Sine: I never said it wasn’t.

The team reforms and they venture further past the ovens. Maybe if you talk to one, they can hear screaming! The next area is the last stand, where Spade is witnessed to Matthias and Nox talking, though she cannot hear them.

Spade: Is that...?
Sine: Judge Nox and Judge Matthias.
Spade: They look like they are saying things, why can’t I hear them?
Sine: Because I’m not letting you.
Spade: You can do that?
Sine: Can we go now? I am not fond of this memory.
Spade: Of course; next is through this door, right?
Sine: No duh.
Spade: Can you tell me who Nox is? I never thought he was that young.
Sine: He replaced the old Nox when he died. Unlike the old Nox, this one is the head of the Inquisition, and a regular sadist. If you ever have to meet him, be on good terms. Now, can we get moving already? I told you I wasn’t fond of this memory and I meant it.
Spade: Oh, sorry—let’s go.

The next area is the Long Stretch. First the room shows and angel going up into the other room before Spade and Sine show up. Then the next event ensues when you reach the door.

Sine: This is the end of the line, I want to do this alone.
Spade: Excuse me?
Sine: My past is forbidden to talk about, let alone tell people. You know that. I am not sure where this door leads, and if it leads to my past, well, the Judges won’t be too happy about that. They like keeping Knights like you in the dark.
Spade: What if you need my help?
Sine: We just hope it won’t come to that!
Spade: And if it does?
Sine: Wanna give me a kiss for good luck?
Spade: SINE!
Sine: Have a little more faith in me, dear. If I scream, you can come in and save me. How does that sound?
Spade: No, I am going with—
Sine: No, you won’t. End of story. I will be right back—do not wander around without me.

Sine leaves and locks the door behind him. Spade tries to open it and lets out a frustrated sigh.

Spade: And you lock it? How am I supposed to help now?!

She stops and leans on the door, eyes closed. A haunting music begins to play and Nasat appears. He starts to appear. Spade jumps.

Spade: Where did you come from?
Nasat: Oh, dear, it seems I am later than I thought I was. Already running late!
Spade: Who are you?
Nasat: The better question, my dear, is who are you?
Spade: I am a Knight from Judge Jonah, now who are you?
Nasat: Mm, answered me without answering me. A clever lady, are you not? Where is Sine? I truly miss the dear boy.
Spade: He is taking care of something—where did you come from?
Nasat: Well, dear, can you get out of my way? I need to speak to Sine urgently, and since he has not come to talk to me, I need to find him. He is a slippery boy to get a hold of.
Spade: I am sorry, you can’t go on right now.
Nasat: Listen, I am not one to listen to little girls playing dress-up in their father’s armor—or lack thereof.
Spade: Excuse me?!
Nasat: In laymen terms, get out of my way.

Nasat knocks Spade out of the way and stands near her, sneering.

Nasat: Little girls should learn when to listen to their elders.

Nasat ignores her and unlocks the door and runs through. Spade is unconscious for a few moments before she sits up. However, if you never looked at the upstairs, went to sleep instead. You get a game over, because Nasat kills Spade. Oopsie!

Spade: Oh, damn it—when I get a hold of you—oh shit... he’s already gone!

She gets up and runs after him. The next room is the memory of the night at the abandoned house. It’s all gray like out of a memory. Spade runs up the stairs, worried by what is up there. Now, we are at the Death. There are dead bodies strewn everywhere, one of a man, a woman and a child. Sine is staring at them all, a little dismayed. He jumps when Nasat appears behind him.

Sine: What are you doing here? How many times have I told you NOT to come into my mind?
Nasat: Now, now, calm down. You know I was with you at this point, it’s only natural I am going to be here now.
Sine: No, it’s not natural. You’re just following me.
Nasat: Can you sign it yet?
Sine: No.
Nasat: Fine, then I will help you some more.
Sine: With what? I’m doing just fine and dandy.
Nasat: You can find out what’s wrong.
Sine: Yes, I can!
Nasat: Where is it then?
Sine: I do not need your help!
Nasat: What about that cute girl? The blonde? I think she’d be the one you’d suspect first.
Sine: What? I let her in here. Unlike you.
Nasat: Draw a hand against me Sine and I will not hesitate to kill you. Now, think about it. She’s from the church. The holiest place that reeks with sin. Do you really think she would not hesitate to betray you? Do you remember what happened last time the church gave you a babysitter?
Sine: But I know who Spade is. She isn’t going to—
Nasat: Ahh, Spade. What a lovely name.
Sine: She wouldn’t do that to me!
Nasat: She is from that CHURCH. The church is known to hurt you. Do you want me to bring up that memory of your mother?
Sine: Leave me alone!
Nasat: Now, now, Sine. I am trying to help you. You’re my favorite boy in this entire world—I don’t want to see you be hurt again.
Sine: I am not hurting Spade. Even if I wanted to, she’d get hurt in the real world. I can’t do that to her.
Nasat: What? Because she protected you? [IF ENDING SCENE 01]Because she let you sleep against her? [/IF ENDING SCENE 01] She’s like all the others. She’ll be just like Erial—she does not care about you at all. She’ll pretend to play nice, pretend to like you, but it will all end up the same. She will hurt you, just like Erial did.
Sine: She is NOT like Erial. She doesn’t want me to hurt people.
Nasat: So quick you are to protect her, yet you know nothing about her.
Sine: Shut up, Nasat.
Nasat: She can’t even listen to you! She’s in this memory right now.
Sine: She’s what?
Nasat: She came in looking for you. Imagine what she’ll think when she sees all of this. My, you quite outdid yourself.
Sine: She already knows what happened here—she won’t hurt me.
Nasat: Does she? Or is it a random act of violence? She is supposed to use her sword to protect and defend—to administer justice. You’re nothing but a cold bloodied murderer to her.
Sine: She won’t hurt me!
Nasat: You and I both know, dear boy, that that is not what you are thinking right now. Look at your hands—they are shaking so much.

The screen fades and Spade comes in. Sine turns to her, and it is silent.

[IF NOT GOOD ENDING]
Sine: Please—Spade, don’t hurt me! I know this was wrong, you know that! I didn’t want to do this, I swear!
Spade: I wanted to believe you didn’t do this! How can you just stride around without even caring?
Sine: I am caring! Why do you think it’s here?
Spade: You didn’t seem to care at all when we stayed at the house of the poor souls you killed!
Sine: I would have told you! Damn it! I kept trying. But you’re such a bloody hard person to talk to—being so high and mighty! I could never find a good time to tell you!
Spade: Sine, how can you expect me to let you get away with killing people?
Sine: So, you’re just going to kill me then? Bring on me some divine justice? That’s God’s job, if you haven’t noticed. You and those damn Judges aren’t supposed to judge divinely!
Spade: ...
Sine: So, Spade, where is this Justice? Should I wait or should I just have myself killed to wipe away my sins?
Spade: I didn’t say that.
Sine: You and the knights think all the same!
Spade: No, we do not Sine. I will not hurt you, that is not my mission. My mission is to save you. Do you get it? I have to help you save yourself, I am not your Judge, and nor do I plan to act like it.
[/IF NOT GOOD ENDING]
[IF GOOD ENDING]
Sine: No use hiding anymore.
Spade: You weren’t trying to hide before.
Sine: I didn’t want to see this again. It was so pathetic.
Spade: Sine, I know what you did was wrong; I am not going to punish it for you.
Sine: Did you hear Nasat?
Spade: The man who tried to kill me?
Sine: He’s usually not violent like that.
Spade: In any case, Sine—you know I am here to help you. To save you. Not to Judge you, not to play God. I promised I would protect you, and I will stick to it.
Sine: Saving me does sound nice. I am tired of all these voices.
[/IF GOOD ENDING]
Sine: Please, make them stop. I am tired of these voices, please make them stop talking!

And angel demon charges from the ceiling and the battle engages. This one is alone, but is still a bit tough. I will think of stuff later. Anyway, the battle ensues and when the battle ends, Spade wakes up in a room in the church. She is on a bed with Alex sitting next to her.

Spade: What happened?
Alex: Well, both you and Sine started to violently twitch, and when it was over, the Priest had you taken to this room. You had wounds they had to attend to, while Sine was helped in another room.
Spade: Oh... why aren’t you with Sine?
Alex: They don’t like me.
Spade: Why not? You seem helpful.
Alex: I don’t know.
Spade: Well, come on: let’s go see if Sine is up.
Alex: All right!

They join together in a party and you are taken to the wing where Sine is staying. A nun stops you, telling you that you cannot enter.

Nun: I am sorry; he is still being treated.
Spade: For what? Is he still hurt?
Nun: I am not allowed to talk about it.

The Nun jumps as the door opens behind them. Judge Matthias walks out, and stops in front of Spade and Alex.

Matthias: Oh, Spade! You’re already up and walking? Can’t say the same for Sine. He groans about pain too much.
Spade: My mother raised me to be a fighter.
Matthias: Haha—that she did. Sine needs another day to rest; maybe you should wander around town for a little bit?
Spade: I thought we’d be able to get moving by now; we’re already behind.
Matthias: Don’t worry—you aren’t stuck to any set time. Go enjoy yourself for a bit, before you have to deal with this kid again.
Spade: Thank you for the concern, Matthias.
Matthias: Oh, isn’t it your birthday today?
Spade: Is it?
Matthias: Your mother sent me a postcard a few weeks ago—warning me to tell you Happy Birthday for her. Well, there you go. I have a present for you actually, but I left it at the Knight’s station. If you want it, you can go pick it up.
Spade: Why wouldn’t I want it?
Matthias: I don’t know. It’s up to you. Well, I need to get back to the other Judges, tell them how Sine is doing. Please have a good day, and you too, Alex. Good-bye.

He leaves, leaving the Nun to block the door again.

Alex: That was nice of him.
Spade: He usually just sends me a card.
Alex: That must be nice.
Spade: I don’t like the attention. So, what do you want to do? I feel like crawling back into a bed somewhere.
Alex: Maybe we should get that present before we forget?
Spade: Oh, good idea. Wait, first I need to get out of these clothes—I need new ones. Meet me at the entrance, all right?

They part and then you see Spade in a new outfit with another woman. They seem to be friends. Afterwards, Spade finds Alex and they wander around town. Around town, you should hear rumors of Eve and how more and more people think she is fake. After wandering around town, you can retire and you find Sine in the same room as you. He mumbles something about feeling awkward with a bunch of strangers and stays in bed. You have the option of retiring for the night, or wandering some more. Either way, you have to end with retiring. During the night, the screen pans around and you see two beds are empty—Sine is still asleep. The scene switches to the balcony.

Spade: Oh, I didn’t think you’d be out here.
Alex: I don’t sleep very well away from home.
Spade: That’s too bad—do you mind if I sit out here with you?
Alex: Not at all.
Spade: I probably should have asked you earlier—but I was curious, how long have you known Sine?
Alex: Since before I can remember.
Spade: Oh really? That long?
Alex: My family and his were old friends. We’d always stay at each other’s houses and terrorize the town.
Spade: That sounds like fun—you lived in the same town?
Alex: No, I lived close to Zorn City while he lived close to Queens. We only met once or twice a month. Though, when my mother died, my sister and I did stay with his family for a little bit.
Spade: So, you have known him for a while. Why is his past forbidden?
Alex: Straight to the point, aren’t you?
Spade: If you don’t mind me asking.
Alex: Well, you know how there are so many of those Bible stories, and the Judges like to have those figures in actual people?
Spade: You mean like Adams and Eves?
Alex: Yes, well, there is also the story of Cain and Abel—you’ve heard of it right?
Spade: Barely, they avoided telling us that.
Alex: Yes, because they wanted to make Cains and Abels, like Eves and Adams. Thinking that Cains and Abels would also help find Paradise.
Spade: Ugh, that’s annoying.
Alex: Very much so. The story goes that Cain killed Abel, because God accepted an offering from Abel rather than Cain. Cain was ousted and marked as a sinner or whatnot. Anyway, the Judges made it so Sine killed his brother—Abel. Sine’s name is Cain, if you don’t already know.
Spade: So, they manipulated them?
Alex: Yes. They distorted the story as well so that Cain was younger than Abel, when Cain was actually older than Abel. They were so desperate to get a Cain.
Spade: What happened to Sine after he killed his brother?
Alex: Nothing at first, his mother tried to console him—he was very shook up. He didn’t mean to kill Abel... something happened and I am still not sure of what. Sine’s mother tried to hide him away from the Judges; she didn’t want her son to be used as a bloodthirsty, jealous Cain. It was nothing like that. Because of that, she was executed for plotting “treason” against the Church—she was just protecting her son.
Spade: They did that?
Alex: I heard the Judges were torn on the decision. Matthias did it though....
Spade: Sine thinks they all had a hand in it.
Alex: Exactly, but no one can be sure. No one told Sine, and he was shut up in an Abbey.
Spade: What about you and your sister?
Alex: Oh, she eventually was executed as well and I was taken back to Zorn City.
Spade: Why?
Alex: So, where are we going next?
Spade: Umm... we’re heading to Knight Fort.
Alex: Oh, I’ve never been there. This should be fun. I am actually feeling rather tired Spade. Thank you for talking with me. Good night.
Spade: He dodged my question. I guess I should go to sleep.

The screen fades out and you are awakened in the room again, this time it is sunny and everyone is up. Sine is in a new outfit and they are standing around.

Sine: So, Knight Fort is next, huh?
Spade: That it is. The big place to train Knights.
Sine: You make it sound like a bad thing.
Spade: Let’s just get going; I want to get this hike over with.
Sine: Fine, fine. Umm... so Eve’s really not here?
Spade: Are you missing her?
Sine: Not really.
Spade: She’ll be fine, don’t worry about her.
Sine: With those rumors rising about Eve, it’s hard not to feel worried.
Spade: Don’t worry about it.
Sine: That’s very hard to do.
Spade: Just go back to thinking she’s a bloody fraud.
Sine: I never hated her though.
Alex: Can we just get moving? Eve will be fine! She’s really strong.

The following event is pretty optional, I’m adding it cause it really deals with Spade and stuff like that. Well, in Crowe, if you go visit the apartments, you will find one that belongs to Terra and a name that is scratched out. Spade becomes interested and asks the apartment key-person about it. She tells Spade that Terra left a key for her to get in. She tells Spade to get the stuff out of there soon, as the apartment is going to be sold the following month. So, you have the option to enter or not. This event resumes when you enter.

Sine: Why are we here?
Spade: Oh, this belongs to my mother. I never knew her living in Crowe, so I was curious.
Sine: Well, hurry it up. I want to get moving.
Spade: Don’t worry, it’s a small place.

If you go to the bedroom, Spade will find a note. When she opens it, she learns that it is from her father. And since the dialogue that is already in game is completely fine, I will wait till I get home to paste that.

Afterwards, they head to Knight Fort. As soon as they enter Knight Fort, Sine starts to ask about it.

Sine: So, this is where all you Knights are trained, huh?
Spade: Well, yes.
Alex: So, you should know your way around!
Spade: Well, no.
Sine: Why?
Spade: My mother had different ideas of what I should be learning in school. They originally had me in some healing and helping curriculum. So, my mom took me back home and I trained with her and a friend of hers.
Alex: And they still accepted you as a Knight?
Spade: Well, they had to. That was the reason my mom had me because they wanted another Knight like her.
Sine: That’s the only reason?
Spade: Yep.
Sine: Are you anything like her?
Spade: No, I’m more like her friend. She had no patience to teach anyone, so I didn’t really get any of her fighting skills.
Alex: Were they happy with that?
Spade: I don’t know. They stopped pushing me to be like her when I was around ten. I think they may like me better: I’m just a bit more understanding than she is.
Sine: Your mom sounds like a fun person, where does she live?
Spade: South of Kings in a small village, why?
Sine: Can we meet her when we get up there? I think it would be fun.
Spade: Hehe, I don’t see why not. I’m sure she’d enjoy a visit. I should send her a postcard or something telling her we’ll be showing up sometime.

So, now Spade won’t leave Knight Fort until you send a letter and go exorcise another demon dude. It is good to note that I want to put in Eve’s rescue in between Knight Fort and getting to Spade’s hometown. I think that sounds good. Wait, hmm. Yes, that is good. I have decided that it is good! Ok, so this event happens after you check in with the Knight dudes.

Check in Knight: All right, everything checks out. You had a rough start it seems.
Spade: Yeah, the ship we got had problems.
Check in Knight: Well, you’re on time now—

A scream comes from the door and Spade runs out. Sine is standing there with his arms crossed, in front of Alex and a knight is running in a circle with a flame on his butt. Spade gets an exasperated look on her face and it fades out. It then fades out and Sine and Alex are behind bars. Spade is on the outside. I gotta look at the original before I continue.

Spade: So, you burned his feet... [Scene fades in] While he deserved it, you still shouldn't have since you are now in JAIL.
Sine: You think I don't realize that?
Spade: I can't even get you out that easily! I have to call the authorities, convince them you won't be a danger, and--UGH! Did you have to burn his feet?! We'll be lucky if there is a Judge in town... At least then I could ask their permission.
Sine: Seriously, Spade... you would have done the same thing, right?
Spade: Yes, but that's not the point! Ok, I'll be right back. No taunting the guards, no setting their feet on fire, no doing anything that would make them angry.
Sine: Yes, dear.

[Spade runs off as Sine turns to Alex.]

Alex: Ummm... You need to stop hurting people on my account.
Sine: Not going to happen.
Alex: Please? I can take care of myself.
Sine: Ignoring them isn't going to help. They'll only say it louder.
Alex: It's worked so far! I'm still alive, aren't I?!
Sine: Even if you are now, that doesn't mean they won't jump you later!
Alex: Sine, I'm asking you as a friend. Stop hurting people.
Sine: I can't do that, no matter how much you ask. It's not right.

[Screen fades out and fades back in with Spade in a communication room.]

Knight: He burned someone?! Spade! This is what you were supposed to prevent!
Spade: If I knew leaving him alone for like one second while I contacted YOU, I would not have left him.
Knight: Why don't you just take him with you?
Spade: He's pretty much against that. He won't even trust any scrap of food unless he or I make it, or oversee its making. Do you know how hard it is to get him to eat?
Knight: Haha, you should have looked at Judge Jonah's profile of him before you signed up to help.
Spade: Spare me the lecture, could you just get him out of jail?
Knight: It will take a few days to get permission, Judge Jonah is out at the present moment.
Spade: I can't just leave him there! He's bound to get into even more trouble!
[Silence]
Spade: Don't give me the silent treatment!
Knight: Oh! I'm sorry: I was checking something. Judge Nox is in town! Here, I'll send him a message and you can meet him there. [He disappears and Spade turns around.]
Spade: Ugh, I did not want to deal with a Judge like him today.

[The screen fades out and then fades back in with Nox coming down the stairs! Oh happy day. He's about to work his snarky charm and get pissy!]

Judge Nox: Oh, look what we have here. What did you do now, Sine?
Sine: You know me: the joy of setting fire to the guard's feet puts me to sleep at night. [The Holy Doctors rush in]
Judge Nox: Well, you shouldn't do that. I don't want to have to come and get you out of jail again.
Holy Doctor: Sire! Sire!
Judge Nox: Oh, I didn't know I'd have a welcoming party.
Holy Doctor: You should always tell us when you're coming so we can get this filth ready!
Judge Nox: I hardly think that is necessary. Let me free my priest, and I shall go to the church with you both.
Holy Doctor: [As Spade is coming down the stairs] But, Sire! Your clothes are stained now! You should have come to us first!
Judge Nox: You dare think God would allow me to appear unholy? As stinking filth?
Holy Doctor: NO! Why would we imply that?!
Judge Nox: [after Spade has come] Oh... you must be my priest's lovely Knight.
Spade: He's Judge Jonah's priest, and can you just let Sine and Alex out already?
Judge Nox: Right... Jonah's pet. Your name was Spade Alcatraz, correct?
Spade: Yes.
Judge Nox: Hmm, you carry the same charm as your mother. To bad you didn't inherit any of her looks.
Spade: Is this going somewhere?
Judge Nox: You did get her attitude, that's for sure. How has Terra been, by the way?
Spade: She's been just peachy in retirement. Can you let them out?
Judge Nox: [unlocking the door] Them?
Holy Doctor: You cannot let this filth out! He is unholy! He will cause our deaths!
Spade: Who are you talking about?
Judge Nox: Sine, kindly step away from that filthy boy. We don't want you to catch any of that.
Sine: I'm not leaving without Alex.
Judge Nox: Yes, you shall leave without that thing. He does not belong here and I intend to have him burned.
Spade: [Pushing Nox away from the cell] BURN HIM?! No way, I'm not letting you do that! He's done nothing wrong!
Judge Nox: A true child to your mother, through and through. Let me educate you, since you were not trained by this facility. He is a Nephilim, do you know what those are, Knight? They are filth, they will cause our deaths.
Spade: You can't just say that! He has done nothing wrong, and you have no right to burn him!
Holy Doctor: Yes! That thing is the unholy filth you must be saved from! [The doctors grab Spade's arm and drag her backwards.]
Spade: Hey! Let me go!
Judge Nox: Come now, Sine. You can accompany Spade and I to the church.
Sine: I'm not leaving without Alex, I already told you that!
Judge Nox: Sine, did you forget what the other Volente did to you? Why the hell are you so quick to trust this monster?
Sine: Alex is completely different from Erial! He doesn't want to kill me or you.
Judge Nox: He is just a monster! He has no place in this world, and no right to be near you. If you really want to stay with him, I should just let the Demons eat you both.
Sine: Damn it, Nox! Get your freaking head out of the clouds! You are not a Noble; you do not have a shadow! We live here on Earth, not near God. The only filth here is the liars and killers you call Knights. [Silence.] Now, get out of my way, Nox. I need to get to the church.
Judge Nox: You just expect me to let you be? You're bringing one of the most unholy things into one of the most holy cities! I cannot allow you to do that.
Sine: Fine. Shall I set fire to the whole city? Shall I burn out all of its filth? If that is what you want me to do, let me be the first to set ablaze your glorious city. [Silence.]
Judge Nox: Let the girl go, and let us depart. I would like to visit Judge Jacob before we leave.
Holy Doctor: But, sire!
Judge Nox: GET MOVING. Or I'll have your hides burned in place of that monster's!

[Judge Nox slowly makes his exits and the Holy Doctors quickly follow. Sine and Alex exit the cell and Spade turns to them.]

Spade: Not all the Knights are bad, Sine.
Sine: I thought it went without saying that present company was excluded.
Spade: Are you both all right?
Alex: I'm fine...
Sine: I'm glad you didn't train here, Spade. That's what they teach Knights, to hate anything they don't understand.
Spade: I won't let anyone hurt you, Alex. You don't deserve it, no matter what anyone says.
Alex: I know.
[IF GOOD DEMO END]
Sine: Also, Spade... please don't go anywhere alone with Nox.
Spade: I can handle myself, Sine.
Sine: I-I-know... just...
Spade: Don't worry.
[/IF GOOD DEMO END]
Spade: All right, we should get going now. We've had enough detours for the day.

[So, it is up to the player to get the group to the Church. Not that hard? Hopefully. Anyway, the next event happens when you enter the Cleansing Room.]

Priest Homer: ... you both can't go in.
Spade: Sine already told you we both were going in. It's either both of us, or Sine is going to get cranky.
Alex: You don't want to see him cranky.
Priest Homer: He's a kid.
Spade: I will give you my word that Alex is much more than just some kid. He's much more mature than Sine even!
Priest Homer: What if something goes wrong? Do you know whose job is on the line?
Spade: I assure you!
Alex: If this is going to be such a hassle, I don't have to go.
Spade: I don't want to go in his mind again and have him sulking because you aren't with me!
Priest Homer: I'm sorry: it's too dangerous.
Spade: Would it help if I had Judge Matthias' permission?
Priest Homer: Yes, but Matthias hasn't been seen for a few days.
Spade: I just saw him this morning! So... here you are!
Priest Homer: ... ... well, this looks legitimate. Has his official seal and everything. Fine. If you end up hurting their minds, it will be on your head. Go now and drink that liquid that's prepared already. Hopefully there is enough for you.
Spade: No worries about that, we're both light drinkers. [Priest Homer turns to his desk as they go to the drink.]
Alex: Matthias isn't going to be very happy.
Spade: He's never minded when my mother forged his signature. I'm sure I'm just the same. Now, drink, kiddo. As long as we do everything right, Matthias will never know.
Alex: Hehe... I guess that's true.
Spade: Now, as we're drinking, count back from ten.

[They count back from ten and appear in Riviere. Sine is standing a few feet away. He smiles when he notices Alex.]

Sine: Yay! You got him in!
Spade: Nothing had better go wrong.
Sine: Don't worry. Come on, I think the path to the forest opened up.
Spade: Oh good, we don't have to go back to the Mayor's House.
Alex: What was there?
Sine: You don't want to know.

[The group reforms and off you go to the Haunting Death! If you go back to the Mayor's House, you can only get into the foyer. It will be locked otherwise. So, head off to the woods. Since most of this is just dungeon, I am going to jump right to the lady you have to talk to (going in the way you're supposed to.)]

Madam Cassandra: Me? Well, I used to be little Sine's sort-of aunt. I wasn't related by blood, but I used to watch him and his brother all the time. Little troublemakers! But, sadly, I got fired when the Judges found I was teaching them witchcraft. Oops, got my head cut off. Don't look at me like that. It's not so bad. I was a fallen noble; it was bound to happen. Since Sine liked me so much, I made a permanent impression on his mind. He visits me when he sleeps as well; it's so cute!
Sine: ... Er...
Alex: Haha! Watch him blush!
Madam Cassandra: I grew up in the Noble city of Enhasa, so I was pretty much spoiled. I dabbled in charms a lot, and when I learned witchcraft, my powers really took off. My parents ignored me, believing it was a phase I was going through. True, it probably was. But I loved it so much. I couldn't stop. Sadly, the authorities got very worried when I brought down a floor of my house. I was put to court and tried for treason. I was found guilty and was cast away. They sent me to Aniseh to live, but I hated it there. The people were very sheltered. So, I paid for a boat and sailed to the mainland. I went to Zorn City, and was treated with disgust. I was just another unwanted Noble. I left that place and headed North to Riviere. There, my life became peaceful, and I was happy. If only the Judges hadn't intervened... if only...
Madam Cassandra: Since you were nice to speak to me, you can have the bridge piece.
Sine: Finally! Thank you Cassie, come on Alex. [They rush out.]
Madam Cassandra: Wait, Blondie... will you listen to me one last time?
[IF CHOOSE YES]
Spade: Of course, what's wrong?
Madam Cassandra: I know what you must think. Sine is not a terrible boy. All he wants is to feel loved and to be happy.
Spade: I know [If bad ending, she does not answer.]
Madam Cassandra: You know he had to watch as his mother was murdered. And the thought of his brother turning on him still in his mind, he was bound to end up a bit disturbed. I wish I could protect him from all those bad things, I wish I could protect him. I am only an imprint on his memory. Please, I beg of you. Do not lose hope in him. Protect him from these demons. Protect him from the Judges. All he wants is to be happy and at peace. Don't just protect him because it is an order. Do it because he needs you. There is no doubt in my mind that he can help find our Paradise, but to force him is barbaric. He should have the freedom to find his own paradise, not be a puppet for those bastards.
Spade: Don't worry, I will. [If bad ending, she does not answer.]

[So the scene plays out. You get the bridge part, and then place it down etc. and are on your way. After a Lost Woods-esque dungeon, you reach the Memory. The memory is of Abel! The team marches forward until you pass through a gate. Sine walks through and the gates shut between him and Spade. They are shocked when he keeps going.]

Spade: Sine?! What are you doing? Come back and unlock this!
Sine: I'm sorry.
Spade: Sine! Come back!
Sine: I told you, I have to deal with the memories myself. Stay here. [He walks off.]
Spade: No! Sine! ... Why does he do this? [She turns to Alex] Can't he trust at least you yet?
Alex: No... he wouldn't. My sister hurt him very badly. I wouldn't be surprised if he were scared of me.
Spade: Alex... what happens when Sine dies in here?
Alex: Our bodies become soulless and we disappear, essentially. [He walks to the gate.] I don't really know what happens to our souls. No one really does.
Spade: So, he's gambling with our lives by going alone?
Alex: He doesn't mean it like that... it's like a defense mechanism.
Spade: Damn it.
Alex: I don't think we have to worry. He seems to be pretty collected.
Spade: No, I don't like that he's alone. [Shakes the gates] God damn it, open up!

[The screen fades out and fades back in on Sine in front of Abel who is staring at the tree.]

Sine: I should have figured you were going to be here.
Abel: You were such a horror back then, weren't you? Like the little demon you are, you slain me without hesitation. How can you live with yourself? Well... Cain, what do you have to say for yourself? Do you want to finally beg for forgiveness?
Sine: Beg? You expect me to beg like a dog? Hah, what a lovely reunion this turned out to be.
Abel: I don't care about reunions.
Sine: You seemed so keen on them while you were dying. You said you'd meet me in Hell.
Abel: Well, that wouldn't be much of a reunion, rather a gloating on my part. I can't wait to watch you die, Cain. I should have listened to the Judges those years before and killed you when I saw you. It would have saved us all the trouble, all the hardships our family had to endure because you were marked a traitor.
Sine: I didn't choose this, Abel. I don't even care about what you say now. You're not supposed to be here, you're supposed to be dead.
Abel: Come to kill me again? Will that really clear your conscience? I remember your face the last time... such a mortified kid! A wide look in your clear blue eyes, and a quivering to your voice. What a lovely image of a sinner.
Sine: I guarantee you that won't happen this time. I'll do it with a smile if you want.
Abel: And why should I believe that will happen?
Sine: You're just some puppet here to drive me mad. You were planted by Abel and the Judges to break me down until I was nothing but a blabbering mess. I will not think ill of myself when I kill you this time.
Abel: No, I suppose you wouldn't. Now that you are a cold-blooded murderer, why would I be shocked? After all the killings you've done, do you really think that posse back there won't think ill of you?
Sine: They wouldn't... they're not like that. They understand.
Abel: You already doubt them, why try to lie to me now?
Sine: No one said I doubted them.
Abel: Dear brother, I can already see your hesitation. I am in your head after all. [He changes to an image of Alex.] This little boy things to think very critically of you, as well as loving. What confusion. I actually think he wants to kill you.
Sine: No-No, Alex wouldn't do that. He-He wouldn't think that...
Abel: He thought about it once, while the lady and you were asleep. Had the knife poised and everything, but he could not. What a coward... he must have been worried about the lady... ahhh, the lady. [Abel changes into Spade.] She's such a beauty, I know you think about that every time you see her.
Sine: N-No!
Abel: Sadly, she'll never love you like that. She'd rather rot than sleep with you.
Sine: No! They don't think that, I don't like her like that!
Abel: How do you know? You've locked them back there; you don't trust with your own memories.
Sine: That's not why--
Abel: That is why. You are afraid of them, afraid of their accusations.
Sine: NO!! [He steps forward] I'm trying to protect them! I don't want them to be hurt! This has nothing to do with the fact I don't trust them!
Abel: So, you really don't trust them? [Silence] How did slicing your neck work out anyway? I barely even see a scar.
Sine: You bastard, stop taking the guise of my brother and face me for what you really are. I'm tired of playing games. [Abel morphs into Gold Angel]
Gold Angel: My, my, touchy boy. You're so protective of your friends you fail to remember your own humanity. Do you know what happens when you die in here? [Two more angels appear around Sine.]
Sine: ... They die with me...
Gold Angel: Aren't you so overjoyed? You get to spend an eternity in oblivion with them!

[The screen quickly fades out and reverts back to Spade and Alex.]

Sine: SPADE!!
Spade: Oh, shit! Sine! It's still locked?! What the hell do you expect me to do?! [Alex drops to the ground and Spade turns to him]
Alex: S-S-Spade... my h-head...
Spade: Oh no, not you too!
Alex: M-My head...

[The gate disappears]

Spade: It's gone!
Alex: Please don't tell anyone I did that.
Spade: How?!
Alex: I can explain later, we need to save Sine.
Spade: Come on then.

[They rush forward and the screen fades again. It fades back in with Sine on his knees with the angels around him. Spade jumps in between them and knocks them away. Sine backs up and stands up.]

Sine: I'm sorry... I didn't mean too... You're all going to die because of me.
Spade: Shut up, we're not going to die. Alex, get ready.

[BOSS! Another angel boss! J Isn't this fun? Ok, So this boss should probably be a different golden angel than the other one, and should of course be harder. They should have earth centered attacks, as they are in a forest. That should be enough to go on, right? ok, after the battle, the group is ousted from Sine's mind and find themselves in the cleansing room.]

Priest Homer: If I get in trouble for that stunt, it'll be on your heads.
Spade: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Priest Homer: There's a room open for you next door. I'm going home. [He walks out.]
Spade: Alex... what did you do?
Alex: Sine's and my mind are not mature yet. Remember? It may hurt, but I can control his mind a little bit, and he can control mine.
Spade: I guess that explains why they don't want you in there.
Alex: You can control his mind as well, but you have to catch him in a vulnerable moment. He's going to hate me when he wakes up though.
Spade: No he won't, come on, I need to rest.
Alex: I don't want to leave him alone here.
Spade: Nothing's going to--
Alex: Judge Nox is in town. I'm not going to leave Sine alone.
Spade: All right... let me just get some blankets and pillows. We can sleep in here.

[The screen fades out as Spade is leaving. In the middle of the night, it fades back in. Sine is kneeling over Alex, who has opened his eyes.]

Sine: You.
Alex: Sine? What time is it--
Sine: You tried to kill me.
Alex: No! No, I didn't!
Sine: You liar! I'm not an idiot!
Spade: Mm? Sine? What are you two doing up? It's not even light out yet.
Sine: I need to use the toilet.
Spade: Well, have fun.
Alex: I-I didn't…
Sine: Good night. [Sine walks to the bathroom.]
Spade: What was that about?
Alex: It was nothing... good night Spade.
Spade: You kids are odd these days.

[The screen fades out and in on a toilet room. Sine is standing in the middle of it.]

Nasat: Now, that wasn't nice.
Sine: What do you want now, Nasat?
Nasat: Oh, nothing much. Could you visit me though? I really need to talk to you, dear boy. I'm sorry I could not go to Knight Fort in person, they'd burn me on the spot you know, and I hate to be burned.
Sine: What do you want? I don't think Spade is going to let me go visit you after what you did before.
Nasat: It is of grave importance. Please, Sine. You won't be disappointed.
Sine: Where are you?
Nasat: Just go through Swan City, I've made sure the road was open enough for you three to come through. Go through the mountain pass and you'll be right at my tower. I'll take you personally from there.
Sine: What about Spade and Alex?
Nasat: They can wait at the front door. So, do we have a deal?
Sine: Fine. I promise I'll be there.
Nasat: Goody. Now, good night, Sine. If you do not show, I fear a life may be lost.
Sine: What?! ... Damn, he's already gone... [He turns to the door.] Oh man...

[Screen fades and morning arises!]

Spade: All right, so that's two angels gotten rid of, three to go!
Sine: We're headed towards Swan City, right?
Spade: Yes. Then we'll go up to the City of Dia, do our work there, cross the bridge, Kings next and then finally Queens. Oh, and a stop at my hometown like you wanted before we cross the bridge.
Sine: I have someone I wanted to visit in Swan City.
Spade: Who?
Sine: None of your business. It's a family acquaintance.
Spade: Sine, I am not going to let you wander off on your own again.
Sine: I won't wander off without you. Can we get going now? We're wasting too much time. [Sine joins in the party, but Alex hesitates].
Spade: Alex? What's wrong?
Alex: Oh! Nothing, just day dreaming. Let's get going. [He joins the party.]
Spade: Oh, now what am I missing? Ugh.

[Ok, so the next event happens and Sine sneaks off, AGAIN! You are in Swan and he is nowhere to be found. If you ask around, people will say they saw a boy matching Sine's description heading through the mountain pass.]

Alex: Where do you think he's going?
Spade: He's going to drive me nuts. When is he going to stop running off like that?
Alex: Sine is used to doing things on his own.
Spade: That's no excuse. Come on, we should go try the mountain pass. It's the only lead we have.

[Ok, when Spade and Alex get to Nasat’s Tower, they catch Sine just getting in. They get in and Sine has floated up to the top balcony, leaving them on the bottom.]

Spade: Sine! Get back down here right now!
Sine: There’s a reason I didn’t tell you where I was going. Stay down there, I’ll be done in a few minutes.
Spade: No! Sine, get down here right now. I am tired of this!
Sine: Spade, shut up! I can do what I want!
Spade: What if you end up dead? Who the hell knows what’s up there?
Sine: I’ll be fine. I was given an invitation, unlike you. If I were you, I’d stay put. [He walks out of sight.]
Spade: And here I thought we were getting along.
Alex: Are you going to follow him?
Spade: Yes.
Alex: You aren’t going to trust him on his own?
Spade: Do you?
Alex: ...
Spade: Let’s just hurry up. When I get him back, I swear I’m going to put a leash on him.

[Team regroups and you are allowed to transcend Nasat’s tower. I think I should make it a tower of clockwork puzzles. Or something devilish. Either way, they get up so high before the floor drops under them.]

Alex: Spade! [Spade falls to her doom as a bright flash is seen and suddenly Spade is caught by something invisible.]
Spade: What the hell?
Alex: Phew. Are you all right, Spade?
Spade: Alex, why am I just floating here?
Alex: Oh, my dad just caught you. No need to worry, he’s good at catching people.
Spade: Your dad?

[Orion appears and Spade gets an exclamation point over her head.]

Orion: Hello, I do not believe we met formally yet.
Spade: Yeah, hello. Where did you come from?
Orion: I have always been around. I have to keep an eye on Alex to keep him out of trouble.
Spade: Ok... can we go back up? I quite enjoy standing on solid ground.
Orion: All right.

[He floats back up and lets Spade down where Alex is standing.]

Spade: Ok, please explain?
Alex: I’m a Nephilim, remember? My mom was human, my dad an angel. God told him to protect me until I’m eighteen.
Spade: Doing a very good job, I see.
Orion: I protect him from the elements. I cannot control the will of human beings.
Alex: He comes in handy.
Orion: Show a little more appreciation.
Alex: Sorry!
Spade: Why didn’t you introduce us sooner? He could have helped get us off that island!
Orion: No, I could not. That was too large of a gap to be carrying four people. I can only carry one at a time.
Spade: Oh. Why didn’t you introduce him sooner, Alex?
Alex: Never thought about it. He doesn’t really like to be bothered.
Orion: And I am going back to not being visible. The owner of this tower is not likely to be happy if he knows I am here. He does not like Angels. [Orion disappears.]
Spade: So... he’s still here?
Alex: Maybe? When I want to talk to him, he is. But I think he goes back to God when I don’t need help.
Spade: Does Sine know about him?
Alex: Yeah, but they don’t get along. Come on, we should continue.

[Ok, so no more story for them. Let’s do Sine and Nasat now! Sine is shown stepping into a room with a mirror, Nasat is sitting on a throne, looking a bit tired.]

Sine: What do you want, Nasat? I’m here.
Nasat: Took you long enough. I’ve been busy trying to deter your friends. They are resilient.
Sine: If you tell me what you wanted, you would be rid of them sooner.
Nasat: Poor dear sweet Eve.
Sine: Eve?
Nasat: Last you saw her was in Esca. She’s been quite busy since then.
Sine: Yeah, we all have been. Is that supposed to shock me?
Nasat: It’s quite funny. Adora tries to get her charged for treason, and he gets locked up with her!
Sine: What’s going on?
Nasat: Someone leaked that Eve was a fake. There was a riot in Queens, and she fled to the Noble Cities, in which now she sits in jail awaiting her execution.
Sine: What?! They’re just gonna kill her?
Nasat: Well, of course. She’s a fake. A fake little Eve. She should have known better!
Sine: [pause] How do I know you’re telling me the truth?
Nasat: Come now, Sine, when have I ever lied to you?
Sine: You tried to get me to kill Spade.
Nasat: That wasn’t lying. Just manipulation. [Sine gives him a stern look] Hey, what you do is up to you. Maybe Eve’s living in paradise, maybe she’s dying. If you want to try and save her, that’s up to you.
Sine: God damn it, Nasat! What is your problem? Why do you keep bothering me?
Nasat: I want your soul, is that really that much to ask?
Sine: Yes! It is! You keep distracting me! I’m supposed to be getting rid of these demons in my head, not being sent on these side trips!
Nasat: Then don’t go. I don’t care. Just be prepared to say goodbye to Eve. She was such a sweet girl.
Sine: Why do you want me to save her?
Nasat: Who said I wanted her saved? She really could die for all I care.
Sine: Then you don’t want me to get to Queens?
Nasat: Sine, the clock is ticking.
Sine: Stop playing around!
Nasat: Tick-tock.
Sine: Fine, where is Eve?
Nasat: One of the Noble Cities... Jenhara? I believe it was that.
Sine: If she’s not in trouble, I am coming back to kick your ass.
Nasat: Of course, my dear boy.

[At this moment Spade and Alex walk in. Nasat disappears and Sine walks past them.]

Spade: Sine! Now where are you going?
Sine: To the Noble Cities.
Alex: What? Why?
Spade: Sine, I’m tired of you deciding what to do on your own. Tell me right now what’s going on.
Sine: Eve was found as a fake. [Spade looks shocked] And they’re planning to kill her.
Spade: How can you be certain?
Sine: I’m not. That’s why I want to go there. We can’t let her die.
Spade: I never thought you even cared.
Sine: She played a role as an Eve. She flaunted that role. That I did not like. I also do not like that she was forced into it. No one chooses to be Eves or Adams. The world doesn’t have the right to kill them when they turn out to be imposters. We’re going to check it out. I can last with the demons for a little longer.
Spade: Where is Eve then?
Sine: Jenhara.
Spade: Where did you hear this information?
Sine: Does it matter? Let’s go. There has to be a way up to the Noble Cities on Bishop Island. That is where all the Fallen Nobles live.

[He walks out with Spade and Alex in tow. The next event happens after you put Eve’s medallion into the rock face and zip up to the Noble Cities. Enhasa treats you relatively well. It would rather you not be there. You can only go to Enhasa and Jenhara. Jenhara you have to walk across the walkways to get to. Jenhara is like Enhasa in many ways. The white buildings, the dark stuff, etc. This one is more capital than residential like Enhasa though. When they get there, they have to learn where Eve is. They hear of the jail under the main house. Sneak in. When you get there, you find Adora and Eve speaking.]

Adora: Now, now, Eve, let's not cause such a big commotion.
Eve: Oh shut up. Do you really think you've reclaimed what you lost all those years ago?
Adora: By bringing you back, yes, they have reinstated my place of royalty. [He turns his back to Eve who has sat on the floor, thinking about how to escape.] I mean--you all knew it wasn't my fault that I was ousted from this plain of existence! It was all the fault of your followers.

Adora: By bringing you back, yes, they have reinstated my place of royalty. [He turns his back to Eve who has sat on the floor, thinking about how to escape.] I mean--you all knew it wasn't my fault that I was ousted from this plain of existence! It was all the fault of your followers.
Eve: Gee, I really wonder why.
Adora: But I was right, you aren't a real Eve. [He glances back at Eve with a peculiar smile.] When you showed up at that God forsaken island, I just knew that you couldn't be Eve. Why would she of all people be there? I got a pass to go to Esca from my family and do you know what I saw there?
Eve: Oh, so you spied on Spade and me. Makes you seem like such a Noble now.
Adora: Spied? You make it sounds like such a nefarious thing. But seeing that little Adam was just the nicest little thing. It proved me right, and I found a way to reclaim my former glory. [Adora turns fully back to Eve who has a bored look on her face.] Am I boring you, my dear?
Eve: Just a little bit, I mean, yay--you caught me. Big deal. Do you really think lying and spying is going to make the Nobles happy?
Adora: [he turns around whimsically, facing away from Eve] Who cares about the means? As long as I get the end I am looking for, I couldn't be happier. I mean… to show that the Nobles created a fraud is just so much fun. I just wish the Judges had realized it before the Nobles took you back. It would have been so fun to see this city burn to the ground.
Eve: Burn?
Adora: Why of course. For what they did to me, they deserve to burn. But what to do now? I mean; they got to you first. The Judges surely won't blame them, as they are taking care of the problem.
Eve: You could, you know, let me out?
Adora: You think I am going to help you? You're the reason I was ousted from my family! The reason I was exiled! I seriously doubt that you want revenge because of what all the Nobles and Judges are putting you through!
Eve: You think that I don't want to get revenge? They are corrupting every living thing that walks down there. They delude people into believing their idea of an Adam and Eve. Of course I want revenge, why do you think they locked me up? When I left Spade in Esca, I wanted revenge. I'm as tired of this charade as you are.
Adora: What do you plan to do then?
Eve: Oh my god.
Adora: What? [he looks and Eve smacks him in the back of the head.]
Eve: Tie him up! Quick!
Sine: Did you just hit him?!
Eve: You were the perfect distraction! Now, tie him up and unlock the door!
Alex: You aren't hurt at all?
Eve: No, we were having a delightful conversation about revenge.
Spade: Why do you want him tied up then?
Eve: Just in case. What are you all doing here? That was surprising.
Spade: Sine said he was worried you were going to die.
Eve: Oh? They did schedule my execution. How did you hear of that?
Spade: Ask Sine.
Sine: Let's just get out.
Eve: Ok, I won't thank you.
Sine: As long as you're ok, no thanks needs to be said.
Eve: Come on; let's drag Adora around. I don't want him to be executed because of me escaping.
Alex: Can't you just wake him up?
Eve: Good idea! [she kicks him] Wake up!
Adora: You know, this is not how I wanted to end up.
Eve: Well, suck it up. We're escaping.
Adora: We?
Eve: You don't think I'm going to leave you here? They'll assume you let me out.
Sine: Does he have to come?
Eve: He's my friend. Right?
Adora: Are you going to hurt me again if I say no?
Eve: Damn straight.
Spade: Really, Eve.
Eve: Spade, he agrees with me. He came here to gloat, but he wants to reclaim his nobility here. Do you know why he was cast out? He didn't want me to be an Eve. He knew it would end badly. I wish I had listened to him.
Adora: You let me be cast out!
Sine: Shut up. You should have tried harder.
Eve: Let's just go. We need to get out of here before they figure I've escaped.
Alex: Too late.
Eve: What?
Spade: Oh damn.
Sine: What?
Alex: Listen.

[The two stop and you hear lots of stomping of feet.]

Eve: Oh no. That's coming our way. I know! Go up those stairs down the hall. I know a way we can escape. Just get moving!

[The group and Adora join and you are to run to the other end. Up the stairs, you find a control room. You are to take out the guards and Eve takes control. Adora and Spade barricade the door.]

Sine: What are you doing?
Eve: We need to escape, right?
Alex: Is this the controls for the city?
Spade: Controls?
Adora: Eve, don't you dare.
Eve: Adora, shut up. They locked me up. They deserve this.
Sine: What are you doing?
Eve: I'm going to show them what happens when they piss of an Eve.
Spade: You're going to crash the city.
Eve: This will teach them to try and kill me. Come on, Adora. Isn't this what you had in mind?
Adora: I had in mind taking gasoline and pouring it everywhere. This works too.
Eve: You're too childish! Now, hold on. I'm crashing her near Bishop Island.
Sine: You're crazy.
Eve: I find we're sharing so many things in common, Sine. Just be ready with that shield you did when we were on the ship.
Sine: You never change. Still reckless.
Eve: Nor do you. Still undermining me.

[Dun dun dun. So, Eve crashes the city. YAY! They wash ashore Bishop Island again. Recognize this beach? This time Adora washes ashore as well. First to sit up are Eve and Sine.]

Eve: Whee! This beach again! Such fond memories!
Sine: Oh, yes, such great memories.
Eve: Thank you.
Sine: Now what?
Eve: You actually cared. I think it's cute.
Sine: Don't you dare make a thing out of this.
Eve: Of course not.

[Picture and Eve has attacked Sine with a hug.]

Eve: You're such an adorable angsty teen!
Sine: Hey! Lay off!

[The scene fades and you are shown them in an inn room. You should recognize it as Esca inn room.]

Eve: So, where are you guys headed?
Sine: I have three more demons to get out of my head.
Eve: Three? You guys are so slow.
Spade: Well excuse us.
Sine: Where are you going to go?
Eve: I'm following you. You don't mind right? I need to lay low and start strategizing.
Spade: For what?
Eve: Take over the Noble Cities, what else?
Sine: That's really bold.
Eve: Yes. But I think they need a change. Who else to do it besides Adora and me?
Spade: Adora's helping you?
Eve: Of course. Where is he? Did he kidnap Alex and run off or something?
Sine: He wouldn't hurt Alex, would he?
Eve: If he knows what's good for him, no.

[The door opens up and Adora and Alex come from. Alex has a bag in his hand, full of food.]

Alex: I have food!
Adora: And no one seems to be looking for us in Esca.
Spade: Man, what a group we have.
Eve: Don't you like the company? Much better than a shy kid and a pissy priest.
Sine: Oh, thanks Eve.
Eve: Hehe! Oh! Don't call me Eve. Not a good idea, you know?
Spade: Then what do we call you?
Eve: Mary?
Alex: I wouldn't pick that one.
Eve: Yeah, I don't feel like randomly getting pregnant. Hmm… Adora, give me a name.
Adora: No.
Eve: How mean!
Adora: Just call yourself Jane!
Eve: That's so boring!
Spade: We can just call you Terra.
Sine: But that's your mom's name.
Eve: Terra is perfect! Good thinking Spade. All right, so where are we headed now?
Spade: The next city is the City of Dia.
Alex: Is that before or after we visit your mother?
Spade: Before. We should show up at another church before too long.
Adora: City of Dia? Oh, the Noble wanna-bes.
Spade: What?
Adora: This may be just hearsay, but they were one of the cities that failed to rise with the other noble cities. You can tell by the structures and how white everything is.
Spade: On that note, you two have shadows. If you don't want to be known as Nobles what are you going to do about that?
Eve: We'll be fine. Don't worry about it. For now, can we get shut-eye already? It's been a long day.
Spade: All right. Good night Eve.

[Eve and Adora leave the room to their own room.]

Sine: Eve's not coming in my head.
Spade: Is Alex still allowed?
Sine: Of course. Can't let you wander around alone. Good night. [He retires in his bed. Spade goes to her own bed before she realizes that Alex looks a little hesitant.]
Spade: Alex? What's wrong?
Alex: Nothing! Good night Spade. [He crawls into his own bed and falls asleep.]

[Spade goes to her own bed and the screen fades out. The next scene happens at the Church of Dia. Sine has manipulated the priest into letting Eve and Adora keep an eye on him. He did not enjoy Priest Homer not pulling them out when he was supposed to, so he puts the priest to sleep and lets Eve and Adora keep watch.]

Sine: Ok, if anything seems like it is going wrong, tell Spade.
Eve: How do I do that?
Spade: I can hear you if you talk out here while I'm in Sine's mind.
Adora: That's very advanced.
Spade: It's just like a dream.
Eve: All right. I can do that. So, who is all going in?
Sine: Spade and Alex.
Eve: Oki-doki!
Sine: Don't you dare mess anything up.
Eve: Have more faith in me, Mr. Priest.
Sine: Going back to that are we?
Spade: Let's just get going. I'd rather be done by the time that priest wakes up so he doesn't see Eve or Adora.

[The screen fades out and refades in on Riviere once again. Alex and Sine are there as well.]

Spade: Eve, can you hear me?
Eve: Loud and clear. How are you doing that? Your lips didn't even move!
Spade: As long as you can hear me, we're good. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We're off for now.
Eve: Roger that!
Spade: So, Sine, where are we headed this time?
Sine: The mines.
Spade: You had a mine near your village?
Sine: No, not as close as it is now. It was closer to Queens originally. But, this is my head. Deal with it.
Spade: Fine. Let's just hurry.

[They start to walk on, until the blonde girl from before rushes through them and runs into and through Alex. He stops as she disappears.]

Spade: What was up with that?
Sine: She looked familiar.
Alex: T-That was cold…
Sine: Whatever. Come on.

[They all walk off screen. Where Alex previously stood, a small black spot has appeared. It slowly starts to spread. So, next is the actual dungeon. Blah blah blah. Nothing happens until the very end. What boring dungeons! They get to the Memory room, and Sine stops them once again.]

Sine: I have a good feeling about this one.
Spade: Don't you dare lock it this time.
Sine: Yeah, yeah. Wanna give me a kiss for good luck?
Spade: I already told you no before.
Sine: Alex will give me one, right?
Alex: Um… [Sine quickly kissing Alex on the cheek, a picture. Black veins run across Sine's skin briefly.]
Sine: Haha, look at him blush! I'll be back soon. [He walks into the room, leaving the door open.]
Spade: This is going well! Huh? Alex? What's that on your hand?
Alex: What? [Shows a picture of his hand, there is a gaping hole in it.]
Spade: That's a hole…

[They look at the entrance; there is a growing darkness.]

Spade: Has that always been following us?
Alex: I-I-I-don't know.
Eve: Spade!

[The screen shows Eve and Adora. Adora is over Sine, trying to prevent him from twitching.]

Spade: What's wrong Eve?
Eve: Spade! Sine just started to twitch violently! Adora's trying to hold him down, but his symbols are glowing and he won't stop thrashing!
Spade: What?!
Adora: Knight, there is something wrong. Symbols don't glow unless they are about to be used. If he uses these, this whole building could come down! Make him stop!
Eve: Seriously, Spade. It's getting very dark. Sine's doing something!

[The screen shifts back to Spade and Alex.]

Alex: Spade, that darkness is growing.
Spade: Of course we couldn't get through one without a problem.
Sine: VOLENTE
Spade: What? [They rush in and stop at the entrance. Sine is standing in the middle, bloody body in hand (switching from body to angel) and he is twitching]. Sine!
Sine: Volente! Stop this damn voice!
Spade: Volente? What are you talking about? Sine!
Sine: Volente. Her voice. Make it go away! Make her voice stop! [He drops the body.]
Alex: My sister's not here!
Sine: Yes she is! Her voice! Where is she? She's screaming!
Spade: Sine, we're the only ones here. You killed the angel, let's get out of here.
Sine: She's in my head! Get her out of my head!
Eve: Spade! He just hit Adora with a spark! What are you doing in there? Do you want me to get you guys out?!
Spade: Yes, get us out.
Sine: No! She's here somewhere! You can't just leave her here! She'll KILL ME!
Spade: Eve, get us out, now!
Sine: NO! PLEASE! She's here! She's tormenting me!
Alex: Sine, she isn't here! She's dead.
Sine: Shut up! You have no idea about anything! You little bastard! It was your fault! You infected me! DIE DIE DIE! [He charges]
Spade: Sine! [Spade stops Sine.] GET US OUT EVE!

[The screen shakes violently. And all goes dark. The screen returns to Eve and Adora. Spade sits up quickly.]

Eve: I'm sorry Spade!
Spade: What happened? Why didn't you get us out sooner?
Adora: He kept hurting Eve whenever she tried.
Spade: Is he still acting up?
Adora: No.
Spade: Why was he doing this? Eve, you were watching. What happened?
Eve: I don't know. He twitched once as soon as you got in, but I thought he was just a restless sleeper. I'm sorry!
Adora: He started twitching more after he touched Alex.
Spade: Alex? [She looks at Alex who is sitting up in bed.]
Alex: I didn't do anything…
Spade: What was that lady who passed through you in the beginning?
Alex: She looked like my sister… but she's dead. She isn't here.
Adora: Your sister? Erial Volente?
Alex: Yes…
Adora: I heard that she tried to kill all the Judges with a boy, don't tell me that boy was Sine.
Alex: You're awfully perceptive.
Spade: Alex! Why didn't you say anything? We're the only ones supposed to be in Sine's mind. Everyone else is just supposed to be statues!
Alex: Why didn't you do anything then? You let her pass you! You've been in there more than I have!
Spade: We need Sine to wake up.
Sine: I'm fine. You're too loud to stay asleep. [He stands up.] I need to get some air.
Spade: No, you're not going anywhere.
Sine: I'm fine. You guys are out of my head. Everything's fine now.
Spade: Sine! Li--
Sine: I'm going to get some air. [He storms out.]
Alex: I'm sorry Spade.
Spade: I'm not letting you in his head next time. That was too close.
Eve: Think we should wake up the priest?
Spade: I'll talk to Matthias about it. If we talk to that priest, he's liable to go to Nox.
Adora: That's the last Judge you want near Sine.
Eve: Should we get to your hometown, Spade? It's not a big city right? I think that would do us all some good.

[The next morning. Silence between the groups. They leave for Spade's hometown. When they get there, it is quiet and peaceful.]

Sine: So, this is where you grew up?
Spade: Yep. Isn't it such a little town?
Eve: It looks so peaceful! Let's go find your house, we deserve some rest and relaxation.
Adora: Ugh, we have to stay here?
Eve: Careful, or I'll make you sleep with horses.
Adora: Yes, ma'am.
Spade: I hope my mom has room for so much company.
Eve: Adora can act as a pillow if need be.
Adora: Excuse me?!
Eve: Lighten up!

[They walk forward, leaving Adora and Alex to bring up the rear. Adora begins to walk forward and stops.]

Adora: What's wrong with you?
Alex: Oh! They moved on already? Sorry!
Adora: Are you always this spacey?
Alex: Leave me alone.
Adora: Fine. Suit yourself.

[They both hurry after Spade and the group. Now, you are left to find Spade's house. When you get there and open the door, you hear cluttering and you see Matthias, in normal clothes and unmasked at the table with Terra.]

Spade: Matthias!
Terra: Spade! You're--er--late!? Where have you been child?

[The screen fades and you are now shown them at dinner, lots of chairs.]

Terra: You seem to have accumulated two more people…
Spade: Sorry about that. This is--er--
Eve: I'm Eve! And this is my bodyguard, Adora! But Spade's both of our bodyguards since he can't really lift a sword.
Terra: Oh, so you're that Eve the Judges have been panicking about. Right Matt?
Matthias: Er, yes. You know, I really should get going.
Terra: Sit your ass back down. I cooked this dinner, and you are going to help Spade and her friends eat it.
Matthias: Yes, ma'am.
Sine: Haha. This is amusing.
Terra: Yeah, didn't think a Judge could be taking commands from little ol' me?
Eve: I didn't think I'd ever see a Judge out of his armor!
Matthias: Well, you did sort of come out of nowhere.
Terra: I thought you weren't coming. You were a few days later than you should have been.
Spade: I'm sorry; we got tied up helping Eve.
Terra: No problem. It's always nice having you home, Spade. I wish you had come home sooner; dinner would definitely have been better. I can't cook at all, you know. Spade must have gotten it from Matthias, since she sure didn't learn any cooking from me.
Matthias: Oh, come on. I'm not that good.
Terra: Yeah, yeah.
Sine: What is Matthias doing here anyway? Isn't he supposed to be doing his Judge duties?
Terra: I always have him come over every so often. He deserves a break.
Sine: Tch.
Terra: Oooh, now I see what Spade meant. Tell me, kiddo, what's wrong with Matthias personally?
Spade: Mom, I don't think this is a good ti--
Terra: Come on, Sine, tell this retired Knight.
Sine: I just do.
Terra: Oh, come off it. Is that it? Are you that childish that there is no reason?
Matthias: Terra, this really isn't the kind of--
Terra: Well, Sine?
Sine: [Stands up] Jeez, I wonder why? If you think he's such a damn saint, why don't you ask him how he dragged my mother out of our village and ignored her screaming and crying? And then chopped her head off? Oh, and how about when he killed Erial and left Alex all on his own? He is no fucking saint. I have every right to hate him.
Terra: [Stands up] Judges wear masks all the time and back when you were a kid they wore hoods. Who are you to say that Matthias is the one that did that?
Sine: He admitted it! Are you that dumb or something? God, you know, I thought you'd be better than some idiot worshipping the Judges blindly! Spade's sure smart enough not to! [He storms out.]
Terra: [Sits down] What a fiery kid.
Spade: What the hell was that for?!
Terra: I was just asking him to clarify. Not my fault he flew off the handle.
Matthias: Yes, dear, it was.
Spade: I shouldn't let him get too far. [Runs after Sine.]
Terra: Well, maybe you shouldn't have been a bastard.
Matthias: I'm going to be right back. [Goes after Spade and Sine.]
[Awkward silence.]
Eve: Wow, did things just get awkward!
Adora: You sure know how to break the ice.
Alex: Umm… should we follow them?
Terra: No, if they get into a fight, they can stop each other. Spade can kick Matthias in the balls, Matthias can throw Sine, and Sine can do some priesty-magic to balance everything.
Eve: You have that all planned out! Well, anyway, your dinner is good!
Terra: Thanks, you two can do dishes. [She stands and wanders to another room.]
Adora: Ugh... I don’t want to do that.
Eve: Man up, Adora.

[The screen fades and now you see Sine standing in the dark near a fence near a lake. Spade runs up to him.]

Spade: Sine, come back to the house.
Sine: I thought your mom was better than the rest.
Spade: You can’t expect her to just sit by when she thinks you hate Matthias for no reason.
Sine: She’s acting like he’s just some saint. He’s the worst of them all, why can’t she see that? How can she just eat with a murderer?
Spade: That’s funny, I constantly hang out with a murderer. In fact, he’s standing right here.
Sine: W-W-What?
Spade: I’m tired of this attitude. Sine, you admitted it, you killed them. You are no better than Matthias. Stop acting like you’re so much better them then all.
Sine: I’m not acting like that I’m—
Spade: Yes you are! Why should my mother eat with you when you’ve killed people just like Matthias? It’s the same principal.
Sine: Oh, so because I killed someone I deserved to have my mother be beheaded right in front of me by that heartless bastard?
Spade: That’s not what I said. I just said you shouldn’t act like you’re above them, because you’re not.
Sine: Screw off, Spade. I don’t have to listen to someone who blindly worships that bastard. Did you sleep with him or something? Is that why he favors you so much? Kinda sick don’t you think?

[Spade slaps Sine, and he freezes. Silence ensues and Matthias quickly runs up.]

Matthias: Ok, that’s enough of that.
Sine: You hit me...
Spade: You had it coming.
Matthias: Both of you, calm down!
Sine: What the hell do you want? I don’t want to talk to you.
Matthias: Sine, I’m sorry for all that I’ve done. I’m not attempting to act like a saint, and nor do I think killing your mother or Eriel was a good thing. But circumstances called for it. I needed—
Sine: That’s a load of bull. My mother didn’t need to die. She was just trying to—
Matthias: Shut up, Sine. Do you think I enjoyed what I did? Do you really think that I'm some horrible person who really wanted to do that above all else? I didn't want to Sine. What do you think would have happened if I didn't? Would you rather have Nox kill her? Or Jacob? They wouldn’t have been so nice. They would have prolonged her death. Would you rather have that?
Sine: You could have stopped her death altogether!
Matthias: No, I couldn’t. I tried. I tried as hard as I could Sine. The world is not fair. I can't be a perfect man, and I don't think you or anyone else should ever hold me to that esteem. Now, if you’re done, you should get back to Terra’s house. It’s cold out here. [He turns to Spade.] Please tell your mother I enjoyed spending time with her. I need to get back to work.
Spade: See you later.

[Matthias walks off. He pauses at Sine, as if wanting to say something, but keeps walking. Silence ensues.]

Spade: I shouldn’t have slapped you, I’m sorry.
Sine: I just want my mom back. I want my family back. I want to forget that this all happened. Why is that so hard? I can create these stupid scary things in my head, but I can’t seem to create a place that I can just fall asleep at and be happy. Why can’t I do that?
Spade: I don’t know, Sine—I...
Sine: I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have snapped. I just—I want to just disappear sometimes. My mom would be alive, Alex’s sister would still be alive, Abel would still be alive...

[Spade hugs Sine. The screen fades after that. In the morning, they are standing in Terra’s doorway, saying goodbye.]

Spade: Well, mom, we should get going.
Terra: Yeah, I loved having you. Even that fiery Priest. Come back anytime, I think I’d enjoy debating with you.
Sine: Er... thank you.
Terra: If any of you get into trouble, I’d be happy to hide you. Don’t give my Spade any trouble, though, I will kick your ass then.
Eve: Oh, don’t worry!
Adora: Yeah, if we get into trouble, I’m sure Spade would do that on her own.
Terra: I taught her right then.

[They say goodbye and start to leave, before though, Terra stops Spade.]

Terra: Did Ben talk to you by any chance?
Spade: What? How did you know?
Terra: He told me he talked to you. Listen, do not join him. After you help Sine, I want you to come right back here. Matthias and I are doing stuff on our own, and I’d love to have your help. Ben is just interested in getting Paradise. I want to stop this atrocious witch-hunt.
Spade: How did he get an Adam?
Terra: He operated on the poor boy and took out a rib. He’s a horrible man.
Spade: Don’t worry. Just let me help Sine and I will be back.
Terra: Thank you. Oh! And I’ve been hearing horrible rumors floating from Queens. I think it deals with your small friend, Alex.
Spade: What?
Terra: Just be careful. Don’t let him go off on his own. I don’t want someone as sweet as him to be killed needlessly.
Spade: Don’t worry.

[She turns and leaves. The screen pans to Terra.]

Terra: God, please watch over them. I swear I’ll stop using your name in vein if you do that.

[So, it’s across the bridge time! I don’t think anything eventful happens. Except, while crossing, you learn that Jonah has been killed. You can go back to Basil, but you can’t get into the church. However, if you research around, you’ll learn that it was probably Nox who killed him. Once at Kings Crossing, Sine starts to act funny. They stay at the inn. During the night, you see Alex frantically sneaking out of the inn and into the dark town.]

Alex: I’m sorry, Spade. [screen fades out again and you see him in a forest. He freezes when he sees Sine.] Oh, Sine... how-how are you doing?
Sine: Where are you going?
Alex: Home, I can get back from here—I...
Sine: Do you think I’ll just be happy to let you go? After trying to kill me?
Alex: You’ve been acting funny.
Sine: Erial, please. You always say that.
Alex: I’m not Erial—Sine...
Sine: You tried to kill me, and then tried to use me to kill the Judges. Everything failed. You died... you died... what are you standing here for if you died?
Alex: Sine, it’s me, Alex. My sister’s not here.
Sine: Ugh, my head hurts. Why can’t I stop seeing her everywhere? It’s like everyone is you.
Alex: Sine, go to the Priest and have him exorcise you. My sister probably left some part of her memories in you. Please...
Sine: Exorcise? Are you trying to get rid of me? You little bastard. Your whole family tried to kill me! They—
Alex: Sine!

[Orion appears and knocks Sine away.]

Alex: Don’t hurt him!
Orion: He is trying to kill you.
Alex: It’s not him. It’s Erial...
Orion: What a nuisance that girl turned out to be. What do you want me to do?
Alex: I’m going home. I don’t want to die. Just take Sine back to the inn.
Orion: Are you sure you don’t want to stay with them?
Alex: I’m sure. I don’t want to be a problem any longer.
Orion: I do not think that is—
Alex: I want to go home.
Orion: As you wish. Do not go far, I need to transport Sine back to the inn.

[The scene fades and you see Spade getting up. Sine is on the floor.]

Spade: Oh my god! Sine! Are you all right?
Sine: My head is pounding...
Spade: Is that all?
Sine: Why aren’t I in a bed?
Spade: I was going to ask you that. Where’s Alex?
Sine: Huh? I don’t know... We are close to Zorn City...
Spade: Is that where he lives?
Sine: Yeah... man, my head hurts. I think I’m forgetting something...
Spade: Oh, there’s a letter... [She picks it up.] Oh. He did leave.
Sine: I guess he really wanted to go home... can we go visit him after we get rid of next angel, can we go and make sure he’s ok?
Spade: Of course. Come on, let’s go find Eve and Adora and get going early.
Sine: Man, why did I fall out of bed? It’s hard sleeping on a floor.
Spade: Maybe you had a bad dream?
Sine: I hope that was all. [They start to leave, but Sine stops and shakes his head.] Let me go, damn it, she’s right there!
Spade: What?
Sine: Huh? Uh... did I say something?
Spade: Are you feeling all right?
Sine: Besides the headache and backache from sleeping on the floor, I’m fine.
Spade: Right then, let’s get going.

[So, they head off to the church, the last church. This time, they get to the house in Sine’s head and that’s it.]

Spade: Ok, so this is your house?
Sine: Yep—It’s---!!!

[Sine drops, holds his head and screams.]

Spade: What?!
Sine: My head! It’s pounding! Make it stop!
Spade: What’s going on? Eve?
Eve: Nothing’s happening over here!
Sine: It’s Erial, I know it is!
Eve: Scratch that, his arms are glowing!
Spade: Erial... she triggers this. Eve, get us out of here!
Sine: I need her out of my head please.

[The scene stops and the music halts. Nasat appears in front of Sine, much to Spade’s dismay.]

Spade: You!
Nasat: The little boy isn’t faring so well.
Sine: W-What?
Nasat: Ring around the fire, a pocket full of ashes. Deadly, Deadly, Deadly. We all fry...
Spade: What are you--! ! [She disappears]
Sine: Is he really... [He disappears and the scene fades.]

[They appear back in the real world and Sine instantly gets up and tries to get out.]

Sine: He went back to Zorn City, he’s gonna die!
Spade: Sine, wait, what are you talking about?

[They rush out with Eve and Adora in tow. They chase him out of town and now you see a forest. The one that Alex ran through.]

Spade: Sine! Please hold on a minute!
Sine: Alex is gonna die! I’m not going to—[suddenly everyone stops. Everything goes gray.] What the...? Nasat?! [He spins around and sees Nasat.] Ok, what’s going on?
Nasat: I can help you. Erial released a good chunk of power from you, but a lot is still sealed. If you just sign it, I can release the rest of it. You can save Alex that way; I daresay you’ll die trying at this moment.
Sine: I just have to sign something?
Nasat: That’s all, I assure you. You can save him this way. You can end the Judges if you wanted to.
Sine: Fine, hurry up then.
Nasat: If I knew it was this easy, I would have done this years ago!
Sine: If you had anything to do with this, I will kill you.
Nasat: Touchy! Here. [A piece of paper appears and floats. A picture is shown.] You have to sign it with Cain Bene, all right? No Sine Bene. You tried that once.
Sine: Fine. [The picture is shown, Sine’s arm going across the piece of text.]
Nasat: Oh, fun. Now, hurry along. Alex is going to be needing your help.

[Nasat disappears and Spade and them run into Sine.]

Spade: Oof! Why did you stop?
Sine: Nox is going to kill Alex if he's found in Zorn City. We have to go find him.
Eve: What? Why?
Sine: He’s a monster to Nox. Monsters must be gotten rid of. Come on.
Adora: Zorn City isn’t going to be happy to have us in it.
Sine: Then don’t come! I can do this myself if you really don't want to come.
Spade: No, I'm not leaving you alone to do this.
Sine: Then come on. Stop gawking. He might die!

[Ok, these scenes move pretty quickly. You see them start to run, and the screen fades and you see Alex enter Zorn City. Suddenly, everything goes black and when you can see again, Alex is alone in a basement kind of room, cowering in fear.]

Alex: Dad? Where are you? Please, stop hiding! I'm scared.

[The door opens on the other end and Nox and a few soldiers walk through.]

Nox: Ahh, this is the thing. Not so strong without that bitch are you?
Alex: I didn't do anything! Leave me alone!
Nox: Guards, look for the demon.
Alex: Demon?
Nox: I know how you've been avoiding guards all these years. A demon has taken a liking to you.
Alex: He is not a demon.
Nox: Whatever.

[Suddenly, Orion appears.]

Orion: Run.
Alex: What?
Orion: You filthy heathens. Going against God's beings. Have you no shame?

[The guards charge at him, and he is bind by lights. Alex takes off running as the guards are thrown to the ground, bloodied mess. The scene fades away and Alex is shown running through a back alley. He suddenly stops when he reaches a dead-end. Nox shows up alone.]

Nox: Nice trick. Too bad that traitorous Angels such as him always bend under human will.
Alex: Get away from me!
Nox: You're a monster. You deserve to be eradicated.
Alex: You deserve to die! The only monster here is you!
Nox: What a tongue on you. Such defiance of a Judge handpicked by God.
Alex: Handpicked? Are you delusional? You just replaced the Judge you killed!
Nox: Have you been talking to Terra?
Alex: Get away from me! I'm not afraid to hurt you.
Nox: Yes you are. You can't pull off Sine's threats. Don't even bother.
Alex: I said GET AWAY FROM ME!

[Wind emits from Alex and into Nox. In seconds it is dispersed and Alex looks shocked.]

Nox: You have to mean them. You can’t even do your own spells if you don’t mean them. [He grabs Alex and lifts him by the neck] Now, can you go quietly, monster? I'd like to see that milky white skin of yours burn.
Alex: No! Let me go!
Nox: Don't even bother. That traitorous Angel can't help you now. All you are is a pathetic scripter like your sister. A frail and pathetic excuse for a living creature. I'll ensure that you burn in Hell. You're all mine.

[Screen fades and you get a picture montage now. You first see them running through a forest, and stuff like that, trying to get to Zorn City. Then you see pictures of Alex, first in a jail cell, then being dragged out and taken to the cross to be crucified and fried. You hear the fire being cast and you see Sine's face, staring ahead, shocked. Then you see him from the front, completely shocked. Now begins a Spade monologue.]

Spade: When we got to Zorn City… I froze. To this day I curse myself for freezing like I did. But, all I could do was freeze. They were burning him… alive.

[Screen fades in, and you see Alex on a stake being burned with a crowd of people. Sine and Spade are in the middle, shocked no doubt.]

Sine: ALEX!!

[He charges forward as the screen fades.]

Voices: What?! What is he doing? He's taking that thing down? Why is he helping that monster?

[Sine takes Alex to a roof of a building to check him over, etc. You fade in on a picture of Sine holding Alex.]

Sine: Alex? Alex? Please, please open your eyes. Are you ok? Please…
Alex: Sine? I-I-Is that y-y-y-you?
Sine: Oh… Alex… w-what's… [Shows a picture of a shocked Sine.] … wrong with you-your hands?

[Show hands with holes in them and blood coming out. Show Sine looking really shocked again. Poor Sine!]

Sine: They're trying to crucify you and burn you alive?

[He looks confused now. Hurt and confused, holding Alex.]

Sine: How-how-how-could they do that? [Black lines trace across his skin again.] HOW COULD THEY?!

[Alex is shown lying down on his own and Sine is shown diving into a sea of shocked people ß MAYBE, depends on how hard that is. Anyway, as Sine is diving into the people, the screen fades and Spade begins again.]

Spade: Then Sine started to kill them all. [The screen shows a floor, and then blood is smeared on it.] It all turned bloody so fast... I was pushed out of there by screaming men and women and separated from Eve and Adora… there was nothing I could do.

[The screen fades again.]

Spade: The city was put on quarantine. Soldiers from Queens and Kings Crossing came and took control... I couldn't find Sine anywhere...

[Screen fades in on Spade alone in an alley. She is sitting down, looking miserable. In a few minutes, you see Eve appear, knocking on doors and looking for her. When she sees Spade she runs to her.]

Eve: Oh my god! There you are!
Spade: Eve…
Eve: Adora! I found her, get over here!
Adora: Finally! Took you long enough! [He rushes over.]
Spade: How long were you looking?
Eve: Ever since we were separated in that riot! We couldn't even see what was happening, you and Sine moved too quickly for us to keep up. What happened?
Spade: They… they tried to burn Alex alive…
Eve: They… they…
Adora: [Pushing Eve out of the way] Your people BURNED him?! What the hell has gotten into you guys? This brings you all to a new low!
Eve: Adora!
Adora: You all wonder what sets Nobles apart from you guys. This is it! We wouldn't do inhumane acts like this! He's a child for goodness sake! How could you let this happen?
Eve: Spade didn't light the fires, Adora! Stop blaming her!
Adora: Nobles would never do that, Eve and you know that.
Spade: I'm sorry… I-I completely froze up when I saw him being burned. I couldn't help him… and I couldn't stop Sine.
Adora: You mean…?
Eve: That rumor of everyone there being dead… that was Sine?
Spade: I don't know what he did… he got these black marks on his skin. I don't think I could have stopped him, even if I tried.
Adora: The Knights are going to be looking for him.
Eve: Go find him, Adora.
Adora: What? Me?
Eve: Yes, you. Now get going!
Adora: Fine. I'll be right back. He's probably with Alex. [He runs off.]
Spade: Has he always called Alex by his name?
Eve: Spade… are you all right?
Spade: No… how could they do this to Alex?
Eve: You don't want me to answer that.
Spade: I wanted to have more faith than this. They just burned him because he's a Nephilim. He's never done anything wrong.
Eve: [kneels down] I guess both our worlds aren't ready for him. If you're going to blame anyone, blame the Judges.
Spade: You're going to start to sound like Sine if you keep that up.
Eve: Well, I think he's right. The Judges are supposed to be protecting, but what are they doing? Sending people on witch-hunts, condemning innocent people like Alex and Sine… and forcing people to be Adams and Eves. They're doing more harm than good.
Spade: Then who's supposed to protect us?
Eve: We can protect ourselves. We can find Paradise by ourselves.
Spade: So you really believe you'll find Paradise?
Eve: Of course, I can find it on my own. Not because I'm an Eve, but because I can see it.
Spade: I wish I was as hopeful as you.
Eve: It takes guts, believe me. … Why did you sit down here?
Spade: This is a small church. I was going to claim sanctuary if they connected me to Sine.
Eve: Hehe, does that even work?
Spade: It'd be worth a shot.
Eve: [Pause] So, you really have no idea where Sine would have gone?
Spade: Not a clue. I don't know Zorn City at all.
Eve: I don't think we have to worry. Adora can sense a Nephilim, and if Sine's with Alex, it will be just that easy.
Spade: How does he do that?
Eve: I dunno. He was part of the Noble Knights as a searcher, which means they search for Nobles who are stranded here and the like. He can find anyone if he wanted to, but if he's smart, he'd focus on finding Alex, as Alex is more unique than Sine.
Spade: I hope you're right…
Eve: [Pause] … Spade?
Spade: Hmm?
Eve: What are you going to do about Sine?
Spade: I don't know yet.
Eve: Can you really blame him though? They were burning his friend.
Spade: I don't know…

[Ok, so they find Sine. Adora comes back and tells them that he found a building in the slums where he’s getting an odd feeling from it. So, they go there (can’t wander around anywhere else in the main Zorn City, only the alleys and the slums) and Spade sees Orion standing in the doorway. But, before that! you see Sine and Alex in a room that looks pretty dingy. Sine is sitting in front of the bed and Alex is asleep. Alex wakes up!]

Alex: Sin-Sine?
Sine: Alex! You’re awake!

[Cue picture and show Sine hugging Alex.]

Sine: I thought you were going to die... I told you not to come back here!
Alex: I’m sorry... I didn’t mean to get caught... Nox was expecting me to show up.
Sine: Don’t be sorry, it’s not your fault.
Alex: Are you all right now?
Sine: What do you mean?
Alex: In King’s Crossing, you were acting strange. You kept mistaking me for Erial.
Sine: I was...?
Alex: Back then... I didn’t mean to try and kill you. My sister told me to do it before she was killed. I’m sorry for even thinking of doing that.
Sine: It’s all right... is that why you ran away? Because I was calling you Erial?
Alex: You’ve been acting odd ever since we went to the Mines. It’s my fault.
Sine: No, it’s not. Look, you’re safe now. That’s all that matters. [Stands up.]
Alex: What are you going to do?
Sine: Don’t worry about it.
Alex: That doesn’t put me at ease, what are you going to do?
Sine: I’m just going to make myself some tea. Just go back to sleep. You’re still healing.
Alex: You healed me?
Sine: As best I could... you’re going to have nasty scars on your hands, and some of your skin is going to be permanently darker, but you’re all better.
Alex: Thank you...
Sine: Now, go back to sleep.

[The scene fades out and when Sine is leaving the room, Orion comes into the room. Sine stops upon seeing him.]

Sine: Oh, I was wondering when you’d show up.
Orion: I am sorry. I am bound by the wills of humans.
Sine: Maybe you should stop disappearing on him, stay for good for once. [He walks past him and goes to the table.]
Orion: Are you mad at the Judges?
Sine: Take a guess.
Orion: You’re not powerless, you can do something.
Sine: I can’t get to them, I can’t do anything.
Orion: Are you blind? Nasat released the symbols that Erial hid in you before she died. You have demigod powers now. You can get to the Judge’s realm without the help of Nasat or any Judge for that matter.
Sine: What do you mean?
Orion: You can take your revenge. You can purify this world of the Judges and their hypocrisy.
Sine: How do I get there?

[Orion steps closer to Sine, laughing. Ok, NOW starts when you’re back to being Spade. Lovely detour!]

Spade: Orion!
Adora: Who?
Eve: The stars aren’t out right now.
Spade: What? You can’t see him?
Orion: Oh, hello, Ms. Alcatraz. [Eve and Adora jump and see him now. Hiding!] I am Orion, Alex’s father. Pleased to meet you.
Adora: You’re an Angel?
Orion: ... Yes. Spade, I have been waiting for you to come by, Alex is up there in his small apartment. Sine’s already healed him. We need some food though, could the two Nobles go and get some?
Eve: Umm... I don’t mind.
Spade: Is Sine up there?
Orion: No.
Eve: Oh, where is he?
Orion: He went out for a walk.
Eve: Should he be out there alone?
Orion: Go looking for him then.
Eve: Spade, do you mind if I do?
Spade: I don’t mind—I should go with—
Orion: I would like to speak with you Spade. Let Eve go find him.
Eve: Adora, go shopping. You’ve never done that. Could be fun.
Adora: I’m not your errand boy.
Eve: You will if you know what’s good for you.
Adora: Fine. [He walks off.]
Spade: Man, you’re abusive.
Eve: No I’m not! I haven’t done anything, he just thinks I will! Ok, I’ll go look over town and see if I can hear about Sine. Be nice to each other. [She walks off.]
Spade: Why do you want to speak with me?
Orion: It concerns my son. Please follow me.

[They go inside. You can go through the apartments and stuff, Orion will wait at the stairs. When you get to the stop, it fades in on Spade kneeling in front of a sleep Alex and Orion at the foot of the bed.]

Spade: He looks horrible… I could have done something. This didn't have to happen.
Orion: No, everything eventually happens for a reason. This was going to happen sooner or later.
Spade: Bull shit! Alex didn't deserve this! Judge Nox had no right!
Orion: I never said that Nox had any right to do this. But your world was dumb enough to put the Judges in charge, so it was going to happen. If not to Alex, then to some other unsuspecting soul.
Spade: What? Are you saying that it was good that Alex got burned rather than someone else?
Orion: If he had not been burned, the person who got burned would not have been saved.
Spade: So you were expecting Sine to come save him? Were you just standing there letting this all happen?
Orion: If you hate the decisions of the Judges, why do you work for them, Ms. Alcatraz?
Spade: Because… [Pause] Because, I want to help people. Is that really such a bad thing?
Orion: Thankfully, Sine was around to save my son.
Spade: What if Sine had not gotten there in time?
Orion: If I can protect my son, I won't let him die.
Spade: Excuse me? Where were you when Nox dragged him off then? I didn't see you anywhere when he was getting burned.
Orion: Complications arose and human will restricted me. I am forced to bow to Adam's children. He was ready to die tonight, did you know?
Spade: What?
Orion: Until he saw you. For some reason, seeing you gives him hope. He's never had a human to look up to before. You are possibly the strongest person he has ever known.
Spade: Oh… [she looks back at Alex.]

[The door opens and Eve walks in, Spade goes to the door and finds her alone. She couldn't find Sine after all.]

Spade: Oh, Eve. You couldn't find Sine?
Eve: No… not at all. I asked Adora when he was shopping, but he said he couldn't even sense Sine in town.
Spade: What?
Eve: I don't think the guards got him. They were still looking for the one responsible.
Spade: Where would he go?
Eve: I don't know… he was really protective of Alex… do you think…
Spade: [stepping a few steps forward] What? No, he can't! He knows that he's no match for the Judges! That's suicide!
Orion: Spade… I must apologize.
Spade: … For what?
Orion: Judge Nox is in the Land Between, where Angels cannot enter. Where the rest of the Judges stay.
Spade: I am aware of that.
Orion: I gave Sine the means to get there.

[Spade runs up to Orion and grabs him by the shirt and pushes him against the wall.]

Spade: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!
Eve: Spade! Calm down! [She drags Spade away from Orion.]
Orion: He's my son, Spade! Do you think that I am going to allow those bastards to burn him without any sort of repercussions!? Do you think I am not going to let Sine loose on those Devils?

[Fades out and shows what Sine is up to. He walks into a room that looks like a communication room, and brings orbs, etc. etc. He opens a door in other words. Text from here on is like a voice over.]

Orion: What would you have done if the Judges torched your son instead of protecting him?
Spade: You're just using Sine! You can't go there yourself!
Orion: Think ill of me if you wish, but that is not my concern. I will not let my son be burned just for being my son.

[Ok, so balls of light go to middle of screen, Sine laughs as a door appears. He blasts open the door.]

Sine: Hehe… Hello, Judges.

[Screen fades out.]

Spade: And you're not afraid that Sine might be killed?!

[Fades back in on Alex's room.]

Orion: Whether he dies or not is not my concern. If he does die, he will take out the Judges with him.
Spade: I can't believe it! You're sending Sine to his grave! There's no way he can even take one of them out!
Orion: He has the power of Satan. Do you really think he cannot even take your dear Matthias out?
Spade: He'll die!
Orion: Then I will bury the boy! He is carrying the message of God with him. God does not want the damn Judges anymore. We are using that child as a medium, and he will warn the world not to elect these Judges.
Spade: What? Not this has nothing to do with Alex, but with some agenda?!
Orion: Do not dare to misunderstand me. I am an Angel. I must carry out the will of God. Sine is doing two things, God's warning, and avenging my son.
Spade: And dying!
Orion: Then he will die.
Spade: No! You're not better than the damn Judges! You're using him as a pawn!
Orion: That is not my concern.
Spade: [after a deliberating pause, she turns to Eve.] Eve, get Adora now.
Eve: What?
Spade: He can find Sine.
Eve: Oh, no! You can't go after him!
Spade: It's my duty to protect him.
Eve: This is going awfully far for your duty! You could die as well!
Spade: Don't argue with me, Eve. I'm tired of failing. I'm not going to let him die!
Eve: Spade… you're going to be digging your own grave! I don't want to see you die!
Spade: Eve… please.
Eve: Spade… [pause] Fine! Adora's at the shop a few houses down. But I'm not letting you go alone.
Spade: Thank you.

[They run out as the scene fades out again. It refades in and Orion is alone with Alex who just got up.]

Orion: Good riddance, now I can have some peace and quiet. [He turns away from the door and finds Alex awake.] Oh! Alex, what are you doing up?
Alex: [turning around] You GAVE him the means to get there?
Orion: He wanted revenge for you. He had the power of Satan that could take down the Judges. Do you really believe I would have stopped him?
Alex: You don't care if he dies.
Orion: I do not care for the lives of humans.
Alex: Right, whatever you say.
Orion: What are you doing up? I do not think Sine's magic as finished healing you.
Alex: I'm not letting Spade go without me. It's my fault Sine is going there.
Orion: You intend to go after him?! You could die as well!
Alex: Then I'll die. I won't be the reason Sine dies, and I am not going to sit here pathetically.
Orion: You are insane! I knew leaving you in this realm was a bad idea!
Alex: Having sex with my mom was a bad idea. If you didn't want this to happen, you should have asked God what would happen if you did that! You can reverse the fact now, and get out of my way.
Orion: I am not going to just let you rush in there blindly! Think about this!
Alex: I am done thinking about it. I've made up my mind, now MOVE.
Orion: I promised your mother I would not let you go near Hell. Sine has sold his soul to Satan, if I let you help him, you are going to be that much closer to Hell.
Alex: As long as I am with Sine in the end, I could care less at where I go.
Orion: You are more like your mother everyday.
Alex: You are overrated. Now please, let me catch up to Spade. I won't die so easily, I'm much more resilient than that.
Orion: Alex…

[He steps aside, and Alex rushes past. The scene fades out. OMG! Last dungeon time! Get ready for it! Well, first is getting to the place. It happens to be in the path between Rook Trail and Zorn City! Can ya believe it? OK, so you get to the entrance, and Alex stops you.]

Alex: Spade! Wait! Wait up!
Spade: Alex! You shouldn't be up!
Eve: You can't be recovered that fast!
Alex: I'm fine! Please, let me go with you. This is partly my fault, I went back here, I got caught. I don't want Sine to die because of me--
Spade: I'm not going to say no, Alex. Just remember what I said when we first met, as long as you can haul your own weight around.
Alex: Of course.
Spade: But, you're sure you're all right?
Alex: Sine's a terrific healer, remember? He's a priest for a reason. I'll be fine.
Eve: Well, then we should get our behinds in gear. He can't get too far ahead of us.
Adora: Yeah, if we do that, we'll be late to the party.
Spade: We're not going there to help kill the Judges, we're going to save him. Anything else, I'm not helping you two.
Eve: Don't worry! I'm here to save Sine. He had every intention to save me, and I want to return the favor.
Spade: Enough talking, let's go.

[Whee! How fun. Ok, so Adora stops you in the middle of the path and he tells them that he can sense Sine close by. But nothing is there! So, whatever, they find it. I'll figure out how later, but they find it and they get into the room that you saw Sine in previously. The door is still there and wide open. Go on through! Then you'll be back at Where Angels Lose Their Ways, the Judge's home. It's still snowy, and this time you can get into the houses and stuff. Anyway. As soon as you enter, the next event starts.]

Eve: We were here before.
Spade: This is the Judge's realm.
Alex: That would explain why they didn't want us here before.
Adora: It's very chilling. Sine's here, I can sense him.
Spade: Do you know exactly where? I'd rather not scour this place entirely.
Adora: I'm not sure. I've heard about this place, how there's a River of Celestial, maybe Sine went there?
Spade: What's that?
Adora: From what I've read and heard, a river where the Judges can see everything and control things if they need to.
Alex: Wherever Nox would be would be where Sine is headed.
Eve: If you can control with that river, then theoretically Sine would be able to control if Nox or any other Judges die or not.
Spade: Ok, so we can go towards that.

[So, you go forward and where the confrontation was before, in front of the building with the outside seats, you see someone dead. Uh oh. It looks like a Judge. Uh oh. I wonder who's been here?]

Spade: Is that…?
Adora: It's Judge Jacob.
Alex: He's dead…
Spade: Did Sine…?
Eve: I see no other person who would.
Spade: Damn it, we're late. Come on.
Alex: What's that?

[They all look forward and see a shadow-like being.]

Spade: I don’t know…

[They look shocked as it charges for them. Win for goodness sake! Don't die!]

Eve: That thing had the same power as Sine.
Spade: He doesn't want anyone here. All right, come on. We need to hurry up!

[The group reforms and here comes the very last dungeon with Sine enemies! Much fun! It should resemble like a deserted castle. Blueish hues, dark areas, maybe introduce the lantern again? So, they stalk through the castle, looking for Sine and or the river that Adora spoke of before. They can find the Judge's rooms and can read diaries of the Judges. You can learn that Nox really did kill Jonah because he wanted Sine as his own priest. For what purpose? He also mentions Spade and her uncanny resemblance to that dastardly Matthias. Matthias talks about a child he has, and his regrets what happened with Sine and wishes he could have done something. Jacob and Jonah's diaries are ripped! Anyway, the next event happens when you reach the end of the castle. The scene opens up at Sine with his back to the door, looking into a river like place. They rush in and he spins around.]

Spade: Sine! Stop what you're doing!
Sine: Why?
Spade: If the Judges get to you--
Sine: I killed Jacob. They aren't that hard. Hehe, he tried to run from me as well. [He turns back to the river. Glowing balls float from it and disappear.]
Eve: Come on; let's just get out of here. There aren't any more Judges here.
Sine: No, they're hiding. Nox is hiding in his room. Isn't that hilarious? Such a coward. I expected more from the man that tried to burn Alex.
Spade: Sine, we're getting out of here. Come on. [She steps towards him.]
Sine: I'm not moving, Spade. The Judges are going to die for what they've done to me. The world is going to pay for the atrocities it has caused. I am tired of sitting here and letting them do this shit.
Adora: And how do you plan to do that? You're just a priest!
Sine: [He puts out his hand and Adora suddenly floats up. Adora shoots across the room, hitting the wall and falls on the floor.] I'm tired of hearing you talk.
Eve: Adora! [She rushes over to him.]
Sine: I suggest you all leave, or I'll be forced to be rid of you as well.
Alex: Sine, please. You're no match for a Judge if they're expecting you. Since you've killed Jacob, you can't hope to catch Matthias or Nox by surprise.
Sine: I saved you, and now you want me to stop from getting revenge for you? Aren't you unhappy with this? They treated you like dirt. Treated you like something that wasn't meant to live. Something that should be burned on the stake. Hmm?

[Suddenly, the doors open and guards rush through.]

Sine: What? More guards? Are you kidding me? [He puts his hands up again and a white flash takes over the whole screen. Suddenly, the guards are gone, leaving a sick trail of blood going out the door.] Stop hiding, Nox, Matthias. I'll find you eventually.
Spade: Stop it, Sine! [She steps towards him again.]
Sine: Spade, let me do what I want! You're tired of this too! I want this pain to stop. I want all this to stop! This hate, this killing. The Judges are the cause of it. The priests and priestesses are the cause of it! Why do you want to stop me? Don't you want to free this world?
Spade: I don't want you to die. I've made that very clear. I swore to protect you, I--
Sine: Stop it with that Knightly speech. The Knights are the worst of it all. Do you know what happens when they are supposed to protect people? They take advantage of them. How many horror stories do you think I've heard of priests who let their guard down and have the Knights all over them? And guess what? They can't tell the Judges any of this, because no one believes that the HOLY Knights would do shit like that!
Spade: Sine! Please!
Sine: My family was torn apart by this silly ideals that the Judges shoved into everyone's mind. They tried to kill everyone that I've ever loved. They used me as a thing just to get new torture devices out of. I'm not gonna stand here anymore and take it! Not their lies, not everyone treating them like saints.
Spade: Stop being so stupid! Killing them is going to achieve nothing but your own death!
Sine: Shut up! What if I want to die? What if I want to burn in Hell for all I've done? I've already sold my soul, what are another few lives?
Spade: You can't change the world, Sine.
Sine: If you want to stop me, then stop me. I'll go kicking and screaming, but you can go ahead and try.
Alex: We don't want to hurt you.
Sine: I'm not going to stop.
Spade: Fine. [She unsheathes her swords.] I'm not letting you do this Sine. I promised to protect you, and if I have to kick your ass to get you to listen, so be it.

[Eve stands up and walks over to Spade and Alex. And let the last boss with Sine begin! OK, so basically, this is sort of like an event boss. Man, I really hope I can do something about text messages lagging horribly with the battles. @_@ Anyway, what happens is this. First to stop fighting is Eve. Sine gets rid of her first because he's tired of hearing her self-righteous attitude. The next to go is Alex, because Sine can't bear hurting him. By the end, there is only Sine and Spade left. This doesn't last for very long, because suddenly the battle will end, and dark shadows grab Sine. This will probably be all done in pictures.]

Spade: Sine!
Sine: What's going on?
Spade: Grab onto my hand!
Sine: Spade! Don't let this take me!
Spade: I won't let you go! Just hold on!
Sine: It's Nox! I know it's him! Don't let him take me!

[Sine's hand slips from Spade's and she starts to rush after him until Matthias grabs her from behind and starts to pull her away.]

Spade: No! Let me go! I can't just leave him! Matthias, LET ME GO!
Matthias: No! Spade! I am not going to let you get sucked in with him! Nox already has him, if I let you go with Sine, I'll never see you again!
Spade: Sine!
Sine: Spade! Please! Come back! Don't leave me!
Spade: Sine! Matthias, let me go!
Matthias: No, Spade. I'm not going to let Nox have you both. You need to live, maybe then you can save Sine. Right now, it can't be done.
Spade: You're just going to leave him?
Matthias: I can't do anything for him, and nor can you!
Sine: Spade! Please! It's so dark… so cold… don't leave me here…

[The screen fades out and Spade narrates again!]

Spade: I don't know exactly what happened. I think Matthias knocked me out. The next thing I knew, I was waking up back home, in my mom's house. Matthias was there as well. They both told me what happened. Sine was taken in by Nox and was forced to undergo an exorcism of some kind. Worst than what we were doing before, Nox was trying to reform his mind. I couldn't leave him there, and my mother understood. Matthias told us where he was being held, and that's where we went.

Wordpost limit encountered during forum repair. The following was posted by Rye:

[Now you get to sneak into the place! It's probably gonna be really easy. Just get down the hall and enter a very familiar room. From the very beginning! Sine is sitting in the middle of the room as Spade enters.]

Spade: Sine, can you hear me?
Sine: …
Spade: Please Sine, I know you can hear me. Give me a sign that you’re all right.

A knock comes from the door. Spade jumps and looks towards it while Sine remains unmoving.

Terra: Spade, honey, we have to get moving. I believe they know we are here.
Spade: [looking back at Sine] Please, Sine… please…
Sine: Spade?

[Now this is where a bad ending or a good ending comes in. First, we shall examine the bad ending. This happens when you do not get the scene where Sine spills his heart to Spade at the very end of the Bishop Island episode. Show a picture of Spade looking happy in front of Sine.]

Spade: Sine! You're all right, you--

[Suddenly zoom in on her face, she looks shocked. Then you see her fallen. Eyes wide, and blood coming out of her throat. You then see Sine standing over her, hand bloody and a blank expression on his face.]

Sine: Good bye…

[Nox shows up in the room, smiling over Sine.]

Nox: Good work. Now, how about we say hello to Terra and Matthias? I'm sure they'd love to know you're doing just fine.

[The screen fades out while on Sine's bloody face. A sinister laugh shows up and it fades out. Credits roll by and it says Game Over. Oops, Spade dies. That's not a good ending. Ok, so the next is the good ending.]

Spade: Sine?
Sine: You came back for me…
Spade: You can hear me now?
Sine: I'm so cold. I can't remember a lot of things. My body aches all over.

[She bends down and hugs Sine tightly.]

Sine: I don't want to go to Hell, Spade. I'm so scared. I just wanted my mom back; I just wanted to be me again. I didn't want to be Cain anymore.
Spade: I promise to save you Sine, just hold on a little longer.
Terra: Spade! Hurry up! We need to get out of here.
Sine: Good-bye, Spade. Thank you.
Spade: Good-bye, Sine. I promise I'll save you. [She kisses him on the cheek, a hand on his back. She then disappears out the door. As she and her mother are shown running, she has another last monologue.] God, if I ever asked for a favor that needs to be fulfilled, this is it. Save Sine. You've seen what's happened. You've seen everything that he was forced to go through. Please, God. Save Sine. Give him the peace he deserves. Please, God.

[The screen fades out, and you are shown Sine again. He is looking down, he then looks up.]

Sine: Who are you?
Voice: I am going to take you home.
Sine: But…

[A hand appears.]

Voice: You are not left handed, Cain, what you signed is null and void. I am taking you home. You deserve to be at peace.

[Sine is shown smiling.]

Sine: I'd like that very much.

[The screen fades out, and you hear the door opening.]

Guard: Ok, what are you on the floor … what? Hey! Kid? [Rustling is heard and the guard rushes back to the door.] Judge Nox! Judge Nox! We have a problem!

[Credits go by! And as the credits go by, you get Spade telling you what happened to everyone else with pictures. Ok, so here's what happened with everyone else. Eve and Adora fled back to the Noble cities, and what do you know? Took them over. Now, she's still looking for her own paradise, and letting Nobles come back into the cities. Spade thinks that Eve is plotting to take down the Judges, but she cannot be sure. Alex is described as becoming a wandering helper. Spade recalls that he and her have shared a few words, and when asked about Sine, Alex claims that Sine has never left him. They're still in contact. Spade, meanwhile, explains that she and her mother are working to change the world. The Judges need to be stopped, and what better way than to do it from the inside with Matthias? The last lines will probably be something like, "I'm planning to change the world. Remember to live, remember to live for what you believe in. My mother told me those words when I was a child. I protected Sine through everything; I never once left his side. I won't let his attempt be in vain, I will make this world change. I won't rest until I do." And maybe the last picture can be of Spade, Sine, Alex, Eve, Terra, Matthias, and Adora all posing for a picture. I think that would be cute!]

OMG I AM FUCKING DONE.
